Chapter 46

The music thundered, like the beating drum of a steady heart. Another body was thrown into the dumpster. It had to be at least the twenty-second of the night.

A bloody grin, dripped down her cheek as she headed out of the alley, no shame on her lips. No concern for her reach.

It wasn't what she would cast as a spiral more letting herself free.

Allowing herself, to be a true vampire.

An arm wrapped around her, as bloody lips fell against hers, the two walking through the streets. The vampire's eyes caught on them, hatred burning towards the couple but their shameless animosity toward the fledglings did not flinch. Maybe it was ego, maybe they were self-righteousness.

It didn't matter because no one challenged them as they made their way, toward the Compound.

Even Elijah didn't blink an eye as they fell into bed, a body discarded, blood coating their skin as sweet moans turned into the melody, of Satan's calling. The stars shifted, under the weight of their sinful adoration.

As usual, no one quesitioned.

Andrea flicked through the grimoire once again, she did almost every morning.

Klaus' arm wrapped around her shoulder, laying a kiss on her cheek. "Morning" he grumbled.

"Morning" she mumbled, turning the page.

"Is she asleep?" he asked, pulling a shirt on over his head.

She drew a deep breath at the sight, before her, before clearing her throat. "I only looked a few minutes ago, but she was," she said distant, reading over the spell.

He grinned at her before noticing the book in her hands. "You need to stop, reading this" he sighed, snatching the grimoire out of her hands much to her insubordinate protest. "No more" he insisted.

Andrea crossed her arms in protest, before giving in. "I think, I figured out how to break it" she declared, smiling at him. "The curse is rather simple when you look down to the basics of it. It simply reverses the werewolf nature and the curse has only been spun, backwards. Therefore, can be spun back to its origin" she explained.

"You figured that all out in a few months?" he asked. The admiration in his eyes warmed her heart.

"Powerful witch" she teased. A cry came from Hope making her groan in defeat. She gave Klaus a small smile before giving in and heading towards the nursery, Klaus wasn't far behind.

She hushed the girl picking her up in her arm, as her cries went silent, not long after.

Klaus beamed at the sight. "She finds comfort in you" he commented.

"She finds the same in you" she replied, as Hope grabbed her hand trying to shove it in her mouth, making the two of them laugh.

Klaus smiled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders as Hope settled down, falling asleep peacefully, in her arms.

She walked back over to the crib, laying Hope's sleeping body to rest. "I'm sick of being on the sidelines Nik" she declared, crossing her arms. "I know I took a step back, but I'm telling you that I won't anymore. And I won't let you stop me."

He stared at her for a moment, before a smile broke out on his lips, a chuckle slipping through his lips. "Sorry, I'm sorry" he muttered.

"Why are you laughing" she snapped. He carried on laughing, hiding his mouth behind his hands. "Stop it!" she yelled, slapping his arm.
