Chapter 24
Chambre de Chasse
Andrea walked, straight into the compound, realising there was no one home. Or at least it looked like it. "Elijah!" she screamed. "Elijah, where the fuck are you!"
Hayley Marshall suddenly appeared at the top of the stairs. "Andrea," she said, in shock.
She looked Hayley up and down, noticing one of Elijah's jackets was hanging off her shoulders."Okay, what the fuck is going on?" she stated.
Elijah appeared next to Hayley, at the top of the stairs. "You know her?" Elijah asked.
"Of course, I know her, she's in my bloody pack!" she exclaimed. "Your not seriously having an affair, with him?" she asked, Hayley. "There's lowering your standards, then there's this shit."
"I'd argue Elijah is a far better standard than Klaus," Marcel said, appearing next to the two of them.
"Okay, seriously what is, going on!" she exclaimed, staring at the three of them, lined up, side by side, like some kind of strange family, trio.
"Were looking for Rebekah and Klaus" Hayley announced.
"Oh, brilliant, let me guess, no progress?" she shrugged off.
Marcel suddenly said, "We are looking into it if you just -"
"If you could just shut up, I was going to say, my mother has a plan" she declared, drawing Elijah's attention. "And right now, Céleste is suffering greatly, with the spell she intended for me. I'm pretty sure, it was another way meant to kill the baby, so maybe that's why my mother sent it back to her. Karma's a bitch" she shrugged.
Elijah vampire before her, grabbing her arm and checking her temperature. She rolled her eyes, pushing him away. "As I said, I'm fine" she insisted.
"Hayley we're going out" she declared.
"You will do no such thing" Elijah replied. "The witches of this city, have taken Rebekah and Klaus and I will simply not risk you two getting caught up with this."
"Then we're going upstairs, to have a chat. You two are going to stay here or I'll desiccate you, into oblivion" she swore, giving them a smile, dripping with false sweetness, heading up the stairs and grabbing Hayley by the arm, pulling her down the corridor.
"He said, he'd tell you," Hayley said, as Andrea slammed the door shut.
"That's not what I'm annoyed about," she gritted out, reaching her arm up, on top of the dust covered wardrobe until she found her mother's talisman.
"What is that?" Hayley asked as Andrea rushed over to the sofa, clicking her fingers and lighting the array of candles.
"You do realise, Marcel is the reason why our families are dead, right" she asked, scattering the herbs on the table.
"What," Hayley asked, her voice shaking. "He ..." she trailed off as tears brimmed in her eyes.
"That is why I'm annoyed" she sighed, hanging the necklace over the flame until it was red hot. "The best way to protect Rebekah and Klaus is to put everyone involved in this, into a Chambre de Chasse. No one can hurt anyone in a Chambre de Chasse" she explained.
"Get Elijah here" she demanded, pricking her palm, with the inbuilt needle, in her mother's neckless, letting it drip into a bowl. She grabbed one of her jumpers, plucking off the blond hairs and placing them in the bowl.
Elijah appeared in the doorway. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing yet. Give me your blood" she demanded.
