Martha's POV

I slept peacefully last night and I woke up with a good mood, plus the wide smile that is plastered on my face.

It feels so good. Waking up from the heavenly good sleep after weeks of not experiencing it, because of the unbelievable events in my life.

I ate my breakfast and wash the dishes after, then decided to take a shower.

I'm humming while cleaning myself and prepared a formal outfit. Still, I can't just relax without trying to find a job again because as she said, she'll think about it first, and I know she only did that to make me feel better.

I sigh while fixing myself in front of the mirror and smile. Walang kupas talaga ang kagandahan ko.

"I can do this. Guide me, lola," I whispered.

It is a painting of my lola's silhouette and sunset as background. Her hair is freely dancing together with the wind, same as her dress.

I remember, we watched sunset together on the seashore because we both love sea and sunset. And that was also during my 15th birthday.

I pictured that moment in my mind and decided to paint it. Pinakita ko iyon sa kaniya at 'yun din iyong oras na binigay niya itong condo sakin, kaya sabi niya i-display nalang namin 'yun dito sa condo, and I agreed.

Before sadness invade my mind, because of the fact that I missed her so much, I immediately stood up in front of my mirror, checked my look once again and grab my keys, for me to get going already.

"Thank you, ma'am. Please wait for our call regarding about the job, ma'am. We will inform you right away if you are hired already." The manager of the fast food chain that I applied stated.

I just nod and smiled at her.

I sighed.

Yeah, I should keep that in mind.

Nagpasya narin akong kumain at tumigil muna, dahil nagugutom nadin ako.

I don't know what came to my mind at naisip ko agad ang Serenity Cafe, na siyang pagmamay-ari ni Zen...

And thinking that I might see her there made me more determined to get there right away.

I admit that I want to see her because I'm tired, and just by the thought of seeing her, even though we will not talk, gives me strength.

And as expected when I arrived and enter the cafe, the brewing aroma of coffee welcomed me. The good thing is that their coffee has the smell, the kind of smell you wouldn't get tired of smelling. Not too strong to be exact.
