Y/n's POV:

It had been two days since the talk with Scarlett. I was surprised at how open she was with me. Looking at the situation from her point of view, I can understand her reaction, even if the words hurt like a burning knife. What was hardest for me to believe was the fact that she admitted that she liked me. I'm not going to lie, even though I'm not ready to completely forgive her yet, I just wanted her to kiss me after she said all of those things.

Sophie had shown me a video clip of Scarlett on the Tonight Show whilst I was away. I couldn't believe how open she was in answering the questions. She very easily could have avoided the questions but she didn't. The fact that she was open to talking about me and Ava showed me that she was serious in proving her intentions.

She was also true to her word at being with me through all of this. She's been here each day which I had really enjoyed. Seeing her with Ava and Sophie did things to me. She fitted in so well with them, and her and Sophie had clearly become close over the last week. The more time I spent around her, the less hurt I felt, and I was grateful for that.

As she had taken time off work this week, she was now working this weekend to catch up, so I wasn't going to get a chance to see her until next week, which made me slightly sad. But the space is probably good for both of us right now. I'm due to start my physio today and I'm dreading it. I know it's going to hurt, and to top it off I'll be doing it on my own.

Sophie had to be back at the café today as they were having an inspection that she couldn't miss. Robert and Jimmy were both working which meant that I was left to fend for myself whilst the physio has his fun in torturing me! I was pulled out of my anxious thoughts when Fiona's smiling face appeared at the door. "Morning Y/n, you ok? You seem lost in thought this morning?" She asked, pulling in a medical trolly behind her.

I nodded and gave her a smile. "Yep. Just thinking about physio." I shared. As she started to get out everything she needed, she paused for a moment to look at me. "You're worried about the pain, aren't you?" She asked placing the gauze that was in her hand on the table. "I guess, I'm finally getting used to the constant pain I feel from all these injuries. I know it's going to get worse once I start all the exercises. I just don't want it to affect me too much so Ava notices." I express, knowing that it was already hard enough for her seeing me like I am, let alone being in more pain.

Fiona walks over and takes a seat on the edge of the bed. "Firstly, I really hope you did not just tell me you have a constant pain when I literally am the holder of your drugs." She said, causing me to laugh. "Secondly, yeah, it's going to hurt." She said with a smile on her face. "Wow, ok was that meant to make me feel better?" I chuckle.

She rolls her eyes. "If you let me finish! I don't want to lie to you. Your body has gone through a lot of trauma. The physio you need for your leg is going to put pressure on your stomach wound as well as increase your headaches. But that is why you need to be honest with us. We can help with a steady supply of pain relief. I know you're trying to be strong for Ava but admitting you're in pain is not a bad thing. So no more hiding it ok. Or I'll make Adam go extra hard on you!" She said in a firm but caring tone.

I gave her a joking salute which she just scoffed at. "Now I'm really sorry but I'm about to cause you more pain. I need to check and clean your wound before you start your session with Adam." She explained, moving back around to the medical cabinet to get out everything that she needed. I let out a huff but knew it was needed.

Cleaning my wounds hurt like a bitch. The wash and cream stung, and it was a constant battle to fight back the tears. A battle that I never won. Sophie was the only person who had been around when I had it cleaned previously, and she hated seeing it. Especially when she realised, she'd need to help me do it when I was eventually released to go home.
