Chapter 65 - You're safe

Scarlett's POV:

Since the premiere, I had been getting sent articles from different people about Y/n and I. But it was my mum that sent me the cutest one.

I saw this article this morning and it's the best one yet. You've definitely got yourself a keeper there. When do I get to meet this girl and her adorable child?

I laughed at her message. She has been so supportive of me since I called and told her I was dating a woman. Every time we speak, she wants to know all about her, and she can't wait to meet them. I often send her photos and she is gushing over them already, even though she's never seen them. I'm hoping to take both Y/n and Ava to New York once I've finished filming so they can all spend time together. I just know that Mum is going to love Y/n.

I clicked on the link and the article was actually focused on Y/n rather than me. It was a really nice read and started off with a picture I hadn't seen before. It was from the premiere, whilst I was having my solo photos taken. Y/n is stood to the side looking up at me whilst holding on to my clutch. She has her big, beautiful, beaming smile and her eyes have caught the light, making them look like they are shining. The article headline read. 'Find someone who looks at you the way that Y/n Y/l/n looks at Scarlett Johansson.' My chuckle caught Y/n's attention whose head was in my lap as we watched Game of Thrones.

"What's so funny angel?" She asked looking up at me. I handed her my phone to see the article. "My mom just sent me this." I explained and she sat up as she started reading it. "It's about me." She said shocked. "Yeah, they've clearly done some research into you. But look at the photo. I love it." I teased and her cheeks started to flush. "Can you blame me. I was looking at a Goddess." She flirted. "Such a dork." I whispered. "Ah but you love it really." She retorted. I shrugged. "Yeah, you're right." I caved in easily and leant forward to give her a kiss.

She carried on reading and a smile appeared on her face. "Wow, it's actually a nice article." She said surprised. "Yeah, my favourite line is, 'We'd like to know where we can find our own beautiful Army Major. Scarlett Johansson is one lucky lady.'" I repeated the words I had read, and Y/n just laughed. "Remember that next time you tease me. You're one lucky lady." She winked at me, and I gave her a quick shove.

She handed me back my phone and laid back down so her head was in my lap again. I quickly replied to my mom and then put the phone away to concentrate back on the TV. My hand found it's way into Y/n's hair, running through it softly, helping her to relax after a long day at work.

Since we had finished filming, I had basically been living with Y/n and Ava. I had two weeks off before I head to Atlanta, and I wanted to spend as much time with them both as possible. It felt normal. Like we were one family. Time was going by too quickly and it was already nearing the end of the first week. This Friday we have Y/n's medal ceremony and dinner then throughout the next week we have a number of things planned before I go.

As the rest of the cast will be joining us, we're having a big dinner two days before we go. Susan and Elsa were also staying in LA, so it was a chance for us to say goodbye to them all. I was dreading it. These last few days have been amazing, and I want nothing more than to carry on like this. The timing just couldn't be any worse!

We had fallen into a routine at Y/n's. We'd make breakfast together and Y/n would drop Ava at school on her way to work. Some lunches we'd meet up and then I'd pick up Ava after school. We'd then both cook dinner together and spend time with Ava in the evening, before then enjoying the time just the two of us. This is how I want my life to be with her. She's the first thing I think about when I wake up and she's the last thing on my mind when I fall asleep.
