Chapter 47 - New Car

Y/n's POV:

Sophie was sat expectantly on the sofa as I entered the living room. "Come on then, tell me about your date." She said, tapping the space next to her. I sighed, knowing that this was going to take a while with all the questions she would ask. After I placed my keys and wallet on the side table, I made my way over to her and sat on the sofa next to her. Feeling tired I decided to lay down and rest my head in her lap.

She smiled at the action, and I took a deep breath. "It was the most perfect first date I've been on." I said, a small blush appearing on my cheeks. "Where did she take you?" She asked and I started to explain about our first stop at top golf. "I think you should owe her a rematch. She clearly took advantage of your injured state." Sophie teased. "I wish that was a good enough excuse for why I lost. She was good! When she won, she did this goofy little dance, and it was so cute. Not that she was probably aiming for that!" I smiled at the memory.

I then went on to tell her about the dinner at the Thai restaurant. "Seriously, the food was amazing, and the two owners were lovely. I'm definitely taking you there!" I excitedly say and she smiles down at me. "We then ended the night by watching the sunset on the beach. It was very romantic." I reminisce. "Wow that is very cliché" Sophie teased. "Maybe. But I love the beach, even if I'm sure half of it's in my boot right now! We even managed to find a spot where we didn't have to worry about anyone seeing us." I explained and she wiggled her eyebrow at me. "Not like that." I defend, giving her a poke in the side. "We were just able to cuddle and kiss. It was nice."

Sophie started to run her fingers through my hair as I told her about our conversation about being in the public and taking our time to work everything out for ourselves first. "That seems very sensible. This is all new to her and for you, it's being a part of a completely different world. I'm glad you're both taking the time for yourselves first." Sophie supportively said. "Did you have any run ins with the paps?" She asked and I smiled at the fact we had a normal date. "Nope. It was all very low-key. It didn't feel like I was on a date with a celebrity at all. It just felt normal. It was nice." I answered.

As her fingers were running through my hair I could feel myself starting to fall asleep. "You're tired, you should head to bed as Ava will be up early." She instructed and I nodded, making my way to my room. I stopped in the door way and turned back to Sophie. "How was she tonight?" I asked and she smiled. "Perfect as always. Are you going to tell her about Scarlett?" She responded. I paused for a moment. "Well, we'll be spending more time together, but I think for now I won't. Not until Scar and I are sure what this is. Ava loves Scar and I want this to be done properly." I explained and Sophie nodded. "You are very wise...sometimes." She said, making her way over to Ava's room with a smirk.

"I'm going to cuddle your daughter. I'll see you in the morning." She said, disappearing through the door. I laughed and made my way into my own room. I plugged my phone in and quickly grabbed some pyjamas and did my nightly routine. When I came back to bed, I checked my phone to see a new message.

Sorry I didn't text earlier. Lizzie was here and wanted the full low down. I had an amazing evening. I can't wait for our next date. X

GI Jane:
I had a similar interrogation from Soph! Tonight, was perfect, thank you. X

I sat on my bed with the biggest smile on my face. I had to pinch myself to actually believe that this had just happened. I don't think I have ever felt this happy. When I'm with her, it's like there isn't anyone else in the world. I could sit with her in silence, and I would have the best time just being in her presence. I want this, I want to be with her. I know that I'm falling for her, and Ava adores her. Everything seems to be falling into place. I just hope that she wants the same things.
