Y/n's POV:

It was Tuesday morning and Ava and I were recovering from a heavy night of candy and ice cream, both in the midst of coming down from the sugar high. The day before was the first official day of our mother/daughter week and we went hard. We started off with a visit to our local diner for breakfast, then went to the park, where I made the mistake of playing tag on a full stomach. After we had tired from that we went shopping for new clothes and made sure to stop off at all of Ava's favourite sweet shops.

By the time we made it home I was imitating a donkey with the number of bags I was carrying, with Ava clinging on for a piggyback. As it was our special week, I was cooking one of her favourite meals each night and the sweet limits were removed. This, in hindsight, was a stupid move. We went hard on day one and were now both regretting it. All the energy that we had was gone and now here we are having a movie day.

I'm led on the sofa with Ava sprawled on top of me hugging Mr Snuggles, watching the TV intently. She has decided that we are going to have a Marvel Marathon. By the end of our week, she wants to have watched them all, which is a bit ambitious but if that's what the girl wants, that's what she'll get! First up Captain America. I found it strange watching the movie knowing that I had met Chris Evans. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself when I remembered his dance moves from the charity night.

About halfway into the movie, I hear a knock at the door followed by keys in the lock. Both Ava and I peered over the sofa to see a smiling Sophie walking through the door with a couple of bags in her hands. "Good Morning my lovelies!" she said in a cheery tone, whilst locking the door and coming further into the apartment. Both Ava and I groaned and flopped back onto the sofa to our previous positions.

"Wow, things are worse than I thought. You both got hit pretty hard by your late night snacking yesterday hey? Oh well, I guess I'll have to eat all these burgers by myself." She said wandering through to the kitchen. Within seconds Ava and I had jumped up following her through. "Oh, please tell me they are Mama Gina's burgers?" I asked closing my eyes as the wonderful scent of fried food filled my nostrils.

Sophie nodded her head, placing the burgers and fries on to plates and putting them on the kitchen island. "I thought you would both need something hot and greasy to fight of the sugar hangover." She laughed. After I placed Ava up on the bar stool, I walked over to Sophie and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. "I'd marry you if you weren't straight!" I stated putting on a serious face. "First off ew. Secondly, I'm far too high maintenance for you!" she laughed pushing me towards a bar stool myself.

"So, Ava, how was your first day hanging out with your Mum yesterday?" Sophie asked whilst I started to devour my burger. "It was soooooooo much fun.." Ava started "Uh uh missy, no talking with your mouth full." I lightly scolded which then turned to laughter as she tried to quickly chew her food. "Sorry Mummy. We went to Mama Gina's for breakfast, then to the park. Mummy chased me around playing tag, but I won." She said proudly taking a couple of fries. "That sounds great sweetie, what did you do after that?" Sophie asked.

"uhhh, I can't remember. Oh wait, we got SWEETIES!" The excited little kid bounced up and down in her chair remember our shopping trip. "And Mummy let me eat as many sweets as I liked before bed." She had a big grin on her face, covered in food. I grabbed a napkin and wiped off all the muck. "Oh, I bet Mummy didn't regret letting you break the rules last night." Sophie said sarcastically with a smirk on her face. "Yes, well Mummy was trying to be nice but wasn't ready for the extreme hyperness followed by the sickly sugar lows." I said slightly wincing at the thought of more sweets.

"Now we're both too tired to do anything today so we're having a Marvel day. Do you want to join us?" I asked whilst savouring the last bite of my burger. "I would love too but I'm heading to the café. I just wanted to make sure my girls were taken care of first." She said with a smile. "You're too good to us" I responded with a big smile on my face.
