Y/n's POV:

I opened Scarlett's front door to be greet by a flurry of people. They were all carrying something from boxes, make up bags and dress bags, giving me a nod or a hello as they entered. Before I knew it, the large living room was being converted into a dressing room. The hair stylists were setting up their stations, whilst someone else ran upstairs with two dress bags.

I was so nervous about this evening. It was the first thing we would be doing as a couple in public and I didn't want to do anything to embarrass Scar. Since the interview in the week, we hadn't really been bothered too much but we also hadn't gone out a lot. We had wanted to keep a low profile. The reaction had been mainly positive, and I was grateful for that as I didn't want any more stress for Scarlett.

On Instagram, my followers had started to increase. I had considered deleting it as I mainly just posted about Ava and I. But Scarlett encouraged me to keep it for a while and see how it goes. She said I shouldn't have to stop anything just because people know about us now. There had been a few comments on my posts. Mainly positive ones but as I had expected there were a few negative ones too. I did my best to ignore them. It's not the first time I've had to deal with the crap that can come with being gay.

Not wanting to upset Scarlett, I hadn't told her about it. There were so few of them, it wasn't worth it. I wasn't letting it get to me. There will always be people in life that don't like you or disagree with what you do. So, I will just make sure that Ava, Scarlett and I are happy. Nothing else matters.

Whilst in my own little world, I hadn't realised that I was still stood in the hallway, watching the organised chaos, when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. "You ok babe?" Scarlett asked, placing a kiss on my neck. "Yeah, I guess I didn't realise how much went into nights like this." I chuckled. "How else do you think I look like I do on a red carpet otherwise. It takes a lot of work!" Scarlett exclaimed. I quickly pulled her around, so she was in front of me. "Well, with your natural beauty, I thought it was a pretty easy process." I flirted and she laughed.

"You're such a flirt. But I love it." She whispers, pulling me closer to give me a kiss. Her arms around my neck whilst I caressed her hip bone with my thumb. We were interrupted by a clearing of the throat. We pulled apart and I saw a smirking Lizzie. "They're ready to get going on your make up Scar." Lizzie explained and Scarlett nodded, her eyes still fixed on me. "I'll be right there." She said, giving me another kiss and my butt a quick squeeze, which caused me to let out a squeak.

She walked away laughing to herself as my face blushed. "Not fair Johansson!" I shouted but she just laughed louder. "Ok, you've got a bit of time before they do your hair. Then it'll be make up and then getting dressed." Lizzie explained to me, and I nodded, grateful she was here. I looked around for Ava and smiled to myself when one of the hair stylists was braiding her hair, the two of them chatting away.

"Are you disturbing the kind people bug?" I asked as I got closer to her. "I wanted to look pretty too!" Ava said excitedly. "But you are pretty bug. The prettiest." I said quickly in response. "You have to say that you're my mummy!" she responded with a fake pout. God she's growing up to quick. "I can confirm your mom is right. You are the prettiest little girl I have ever met!" The hair stylist said, making Ava give a wide grin. "Really?!" She asked and the lady nodded.

Once Ava's hair was done, the stylist grabbed my hand and plonked me in the seat. She laughed at the terrified look I gave her and all the tools she had around her. "Don't worry, I won't torture you." She teased. "Hmmm, I don't know if I trust that." I joke in response. "I'm Y/n by the way." I introduced myself. "Lacy. Nice to meet you." She responded and I smiled at her in the mirror.

We chatted whilst she did my hair, Ava coming over every now and then to join in the conversation and bringing me snacks. I've taught her well. After a while, my hair was done. It looked great. Lacy had gone for a twisted half up style. The hair that was down lightly curled. It was simple but my style which I was very grateful for. I didn't really have much choice over anything today. Scarlett's team had planned the outfits, hair style and make up. I was nervous not having any form of control. But I love the hair, so hopefully everything else will be the same.
