The sharp alarm sound wakes me up. I feel like I'm in paradise. Completely naked under the world's softest sheets. I stretch a bit and turn over but Tony's not over here. Of course not everything could be perfect. I sigh and stare at the ceiling.

"Good morning, Ms. Reeves" I hear a robotic voice and jump.

"What the...?" I ask in terror.

"I'm JARVIS, an A.I. created by Tony Stark" he explains.

Is it even a he? I can't be bothered with this now.

"Yeah, yeah, I know who you are" I relax.

Of course I know who JARVIS is. Even if Tony hadn't mentioned his personal assistant I would still know because of its popularity.

"There's a car waiting to take you home"

"Where's Tony?" I ask innocently.

"I'm afraid he's not at the property at the moment"

So much for spending more time together.

I stand up and to my surprise my clothes are waiting for me. I get dressed quickly and go downstairs. Walking alone in this massive house feels terrifying. When I reach the kitchen I see a note and take it in my hand.

"Enjoy anything you like for breakfast.
See you soon.
T.S."

I shake my head after reading it. How thoughtful of him to let me enjoy breakfast by myself...
I get outside and indeed the car is waiting for me. It's the same driver from last night who greets me and gets me back to my dorms. As soon as I get in my room Sophie jumps from her bed.

"Oh my God, tell me everything" she says with excitement.

"Just give me a minute" I laugh.

I take off my heels, throwing them as far away as I can and then lie down on the bed.

"Did he drive you back here? Please tell me I didn't miss the opportunity to meet Tony Stark" she says looking out of the window.

"No, he didn't. I actually didn't even see him at all this morning" I say in disappointment.

"Hey, it's okay. He's a busy man" she reassures me.

"But he agreed" I sigh and hug my pillow.

"What are you talking about? He agreed to what?"

"To spending more time together" I continue.

"That's great! It's what you wanted, right?" she sounds excited.

"Yes, but he left. He just agreed with me to get me to bed with him again" I'm so mad right now.

"Why don't you give him some time first before you jump to conclusions?" she asks calmly.

"Okay, you're right. He did say see you soon after all, maybe he means it" I shrug.

"When did he say that?"

"It was on the note he left me this morning" I look in my purse for it and hand it to Sophie.

She takes a moment to look at it and read it. Then she looks at me smiling.

"Why are you even complaining? He thought of you. He probably had a meeting to attend or a crime to fight"

"I was just expecting to wake up with him for once, you know" I sigh again.

"Oh, I see. You wanted more of those" she says pointing at my collarbones.

I don't have to look to know what she's talking about. Tony's always leaving his marks behind him. Sometimes in places that are noticeable and sometimes in places that are not.

"I'd kill for it" I laugh finally.

"Please, stop torturing me and tell me everything" she begs, making me chuckle.

"Alright, at first he made me a drink and showed me around the ground floor. It was so beautiful and enormous, even better than I expected. You should've seen the living room, it had the most comfortable couches I've ever seen. Then, you know, it all started there and after a while we went upstairs to the bedrooms" I say and take a breath.

"Oh my God, it sounds amazing. How many times did you-?" she asks playfully but I interrupt her.

"Sophie!" I laugh.

"Come on! Don't be suddenly shy with me now" she hits my shoulder.

"Fine! Four times" I reply and hide my face in my hands.

"Wow! Did you even sleep at all?"

"I got a few hours of sleep, I'm not complaining though" I giggle.

"Oh Lord, I can't even remember the last time a man made me come once" she says between a funny and serious tone.

"I know you're lying, I remember some freaky details you shared with me not so long ago" I tease her.

"Ah, Jason. He was so good" she daydreams next to me, making me shake my head.

"I'm gonna leave you with your thoughts here and head to class. I have a night shift tonight so I'll be back late" I say and she nods.

I change into an everyday outfit and start my way to class. I can hear people whispering when I walk by them, but I'm not sure it's about me. They never cared about me before anyway. So I decide to ignore them and head to class.

I really wanted to pay attention to class but I kept on checking my phone in case Tony decided to contact me. I even looked for any Iron Man related news, that's how desperate I was to believe that there's a reason behind him not being home this morning.

But there was nothing. Not a single article about him. Or about Iron Man. My hopes faded away by the minute. After all, if he wanted to contact me he would've found a way.

The following hours at work were even worse. I couldn't check my phone all the time so my hopes were up every time I found the opportunity to check. But my disappointment was even greater every time because he never showed a sign of life.

So, by the time I went back to my room, I was almost feeling sick. Maybe I shouldn't have so high hopes for the two of us. Maybe I am a fool for believing his words. Or even worse, maybe I pushed him away with my expectations for the two of us.

These were the thoughts that went through my head for hours, not letting me fall asleep no matter how tired I was. But, eventually, I managed to sleep, knowing that the next day would be just as tiring as this one. And that I'd still be ignored and forgotten.
