Jax and Ron met me on their way out the lab doors; they had drug the captain along also. "We figured that you'd want to take him with you," Ron said, looking over my shoulder at all the aliens. I could feel the tension build, so I decided to introduce them.

"Okay, hear me! Ron will lead one group through this floor, and the second. He's had some experience navigating the ship in the past..." I could feel everyone's uneasiness build. "Don't worry, he's on our side." I tried to reassure them.

"This is Jax. He will be coming with us to the first floor," I say, turning to Jax. "He will be coming with us also." I look at the captain and notice that he looks more awake than when I left. Good, he might be useful after all.

"Can you keep up?" I ask while studying his leg before meeting his eyes.

"Not like I have another option." He scoffed at me before gradually putting weight on his injured leg. He tested it to determine if he could support himself. Finally, he nodded and looked behind me, studying the others with weary eyes.

"What's your name." I ask the captain. I walk up to him and look him over with a heavy conscience.

"Maxwell, Captain Maxwell." He straightened himself up as much as he possibly could without falling over. I knew that I didn't want to kill anymore. I found myself beginning to waver over my original plan. Was I thinking of letting the captain–Maxwell, live? The next few critical hours would determine that. I shook myself out of my thoughts and ordered everyone to follow me.

When we made it to the hall where I had nearly shot Ron and Jax, I paused before instructing one of the groups to follow Ron. He would lead them to the far side of the ship. Together, they would make their way across the floor before going up to the next and doing the same. After they were all done, Ron said he would meet us on the first floor.

"Follow me!" I remembered taking all the right halls on my way through the floor previously, so I did the exact opposite and took only the halls that appeared to my left. It wasn't difficult to make our way back to the elevator. We had to make quite a few trips up before everyone made it to the first floor.

Once everyone was together on the first floor, I told the individuals with the headsets to follow me while I had the rest of the group split and start clearing the rest of the floor. I took a few minutes to plan what we would have to do on the way to the cockpit. But, unfortunately, since I had missed the magical advancement in space travel, I was way out of my league. As I devised a plan, I listened as the aliens conversed amongst themselves—some commenting on the utter disarray and how unsanitary and animalistic it was. I could feel irritation and humiliation prick at me uncomfortably.

"What did you expect?" I spun on my feet, facing the group baring my teeth at them in anger. "My goal wasn't cleanliness. It was freedom. If you have an issue with it, then you can clean it on your own time." I snapped at them viciously before spinning back around and continuing to walk. I wasn't going to listen to them complain.
