"so, anything interesting up with you?" ivy quizzed as we sat in her apartment.

"uh... no, not really," i shook my head.

"seriously?" she raised a brow. "there isn't something at the bar happening or anything?"

i thought for a moment. "well..."

her eyes lit up. "spill, right now," she demanded.

"it's nothing," i laughed. "there's just this person that's been coming there for the past two months or so. she's cool."

"tell me more," she requested.

"there's nothing else to tell," i chuckled. "they come every friday, some times on saturday. we talk some while she's there, but that's it."

"is she hot?" she raised a brow.

"yeah. very," i nodded. "she's got tattoos. they clearly workout too. uh... oh, they have a smiley piercing, but it's, like, fangs. dude, it's so hot."

ivy smirked as she leaned back. "so... why aren't you with her yet? or fucking, at the least?" she questioned teasingly.

"i'm not chasing it," i shook my head. "but i'm not stopping anything if it happens, if you know what i mean," i rubbed at the back of my neck.

"you need to let it happen!" she nodded. "you need to get laid, honestly. it's been, like, two years!"

"a year and a half, but okay," i rolled my eyes.

"either way, you need it," she sent me a look.

"whatever," i flipped her off. "stay outta my business!" i joked.

"nah," she grinned. she was silent for a moment before her face lit up. she pulled out her phone. "bro, lemme show you this girl i've been talking to! she is so fine!"

"since when have you been talking to someone, and why didn't i know?" my eyes widened.

"same reason you haven't told me about the girl who's been coming to the bar," she sent me a look. "but we've only been talking for two or so weeks."

"shut up," i kissed my teeth. she showed me her phone. "damn, she is fine."

"right?!" she agreed.

it's now friday. jessie just got to the bar.

she's been coming to the bar for two or so months now. we talk a lot while they're here, and i enjoy it. she hasn't even drank at all for the past month she's been coming here, so that's made it more enjoyable.

"what happened?" my brows furrowed as i saw the cast on jessie's left arm.

"oh, i, uh... i fractured it earlier this week," jj said with a small laugh. "i fell off my skateboard and landed the wrong way."
