"dude, if you don't hurry up and get her number, i think i'ma ask her myself," matthew said in a teasing tone.
"good luck," i scoffed. "i'm, like, ninety-nine percent positive that she isn't even attracted to men."
he shrugged. "either way, you still need to get it. it's literally been over two months, bro."
"don't rush me," i huffed as i smacked his arm.
"get it tonight," he poked me.
"i said don't rush me!"
"pussy."
my eyes widened. "i am not a pussy!"
"yeah, you are," he snickered.
"you know what... you are what you eat, so..." i trailed off.
"you haven't had any in how long though?" he raised a brow.
"like... four months," i mumbled. i crossed my arms. "that's not even the point though!"
"just get her number tonight; damn," he laughed.
i sent him a glare. he flashed a grin, and i rolled my eyes.
we moved up in line. i handed the bouncer my id. he glanced over at a clipboard he was holding. "jessie jacobs? you're in free tonight; you and a plus one."
my brows raised as he handed me my id back. i gestured to matt. "okay... well, he's with me tonight."
me and matthew walked into the club after the bouncer checked matt's id too. matt turned to me, and he sent me a look.
"see, now you have to get her number," he said.
"man, how many times do i have to tell you not to rush me?!"
"you've had over two months! it's long overdue," he shook his head. "and like i said, with her getting you in here for free, you have to get her number, jess."
"yeah, whatever," i huffed as i waved him off. i pushed him towards the dance floor, and i then made my way over to the bar.
i took my usual seat. it wasn't long until billie walked over towards me.
"hi, jessie," billie greeted.
"hey, shorty. how was your..." i trailed off as i took in her appearance. she was wearing her usual, black button up shirt, but tonight she was wearing a skirt instead of pants. she also had her eyeliner done.
"hm?" she hummed.
"uh, sorry, what was i saying?" my eyes flitted back up to her's.
she licked her lips. "you were asking me how my something was..?"
