"that sounds like a date," ivy said.
"it's not a date," i rolled my eyes.
"i didn't say it was; i just said it sounds like one," she defended with a shrug. "you want it to be a date though, huh?" she teased.
"wha— no. fuck off," i let out a small huff.
i watched through the screen as she laughed. she adjusted her phone as she moved to sit somewhere. "what time is she picking you up?"
"they said at eight," i said. i looked at myself in the corner of my screen, and i fixed my hair.
"so... in, like, fifteen minutes?" ivy let out a small laugh.
"mhm," i hummed. "enough about that though... how are things going with that girl you were talking to? makayla, right?"
"yeah," she nodded. "things are going great. we went on a date earlier this week, and it was pretty nice."
"awh, hell yeah," i smiled. "i'm happy for you."
she smiled too. before our conversation continued, a text message popped up at the top of my screen.

i smiled at the messages. i dismissed it, but only so that i could tell ivy bye.
"okay, they're here earlier," i told her. "so, i'll talk to you later."

i ended the facetime. i then went to mine and jessie's messages.

i stood up, and i put my phone in my pocket. i made sure i had my wallet and my keys before i started to make my way down to the lobby.
when i got down there, i was met with jessie, who flashed a smile. i quickly noticed that she was wearing her grillz tonight, which made my ways glance down at them for a few moments.
