"no, wait, i'm nervous," jessie grabbed my hand to stop me from getting out of my car.

"baby... i've already told you, you'll be fine," i laughed a bit.

jessie is meeting my parents today. they've been nervous about it since i proposed the idea to the them, but they've also been excited about it.

"you promise?" she pouted. "i'm scared they're not going to like me."

"i promise. it's impossible to not like you," i assured as i cupped their cheeks, then gave them a kiss. "you have nothing to worry about, lovebug."

"okay," i felt them relax. she let out a sigh, and she stole a quick kiss from me. "thank you, princess."

"of course," i flashed a smile.

they puckered their lips for another kiss. i happily gave them one.

her eyes glanced over my outfit. "you look really good," they complimented. "i love this fit."

"you've only said that a million and two times," i teased as i bit my lip.

"and i've meant it every time!" they huffed.

i giggled, and i kissed them once more. "okay, let's go inside now; for real this time."

she let out a small puff of air. she let go of my hand so that we could both get out. i moved my seat so that shark and shiloh could get out of the back seats. they ran up to the front door after they jumped out of the car.

me and jj turned to walk up to the door as well, but we stopped as we heard a car pull up. we looked over, and we saw that it was finneas and claudia.

"you didn't tell me that my fiancée was coming?!" jess turned to look at me with an incredulous look on her face.

"she's not your fiancée," i narrowed my eyes at her.

"yes, she is!" they gave a small nod before they ran over to greet claudia with a hug.

i rolled my eyes as i followed behind her, though i first greeted finneas with a hug.

after the four of us talked for a moment, we all walked over to the door. finneas knocked, and he was soon greeted by mom. she greeted finneas and claudia, then let them inside.

"hi, mom," i murmured as i brought her into a hug. i stepped back, and i grabbed jessie's hand to interlace our fingers. by now, dad had walked over too.

"mom, dad, this is my girlfriend, jessie," i introduced them to her. jj gave my hand a nervous squeeze as she flashed a smile.

"hi, sweetie. i'm maggie," mom greeted. "and this is patrick."

"hi," jess held their hand out towards dad, though he brought her in for a hug instead. i giggled at the way their eyes widened for a brief moment. mom brought jessie a hug as well.
