"okay, so what's the gender neutral term if you wanna call someone mommy or daddy?" i asked randomly as i looked at billie, who was laying peacefully in my arms.
bil looked back at me blankly for a few seconds. "what?" she finally asked with a loud laugh.
"i'm being serious!" my eyes widened. "like... ou, yes, guardian!"
"mm, parent," she made a fuck boy face, which made me laugh way more than it should've.
"okay, okay... what do you say instead of good girl or good boy?" my brows furrowed.
"good... person?" she spluttered.
"i was thinking 'doin' great, sport,'" i told her.
she muffled a laugh by burying her face into my chest. "i think 'good job, champ,' works well too," she added.
"oh, for sure," i nodded. "yo, next time we have sex, i'ma tell you 'keep on keeping on, soldier.' deadass."
"you better not," she sent me a look as she tried to hold back a laugh.
"i am!" i kept going. "and instead of calling you 'mommy,' i'ma call you fellow responsible and consenting adult."
"nooooo!" she giggled as she gently shoved me back.
"i'm being deadass!" i insisted with wide eyes and a smile.

a few hours later, me and billie are at finneas and claudia's house. jordan is also here.
me and billie are in the pool, while finny, claudia, and jordan are sitting at the table out here, talking to each other.
i'm leaning against the side of the pool, while billie is in front of me. her arms are draped around my neck, while mine are resting around her waist. i've pulled her flush against me.
i pressed a kiss to her forehead. "i love you," i murmured.
"i love you more," she said as she rested her forehead against mine.
"mm... that's false," i argued.
"it's actually true."
"uh, no. false," i said. i stuck my tongue out and touched it to her lips. i laughed as her face scrunched up.
"you're annoying," she pushed away from me and swam back.
"but you love me," i grinned.
"i do," she bit back a smile.
i swam over to her. i picked her up bridal style, and i planted a quick kiss on her lips.
i then turned to claudia, finneas, and jordan. "yo, how far do y'all think i can throw billie?"
