it's been a few weeks.

valentine's day was about a week ago now. me and jessie went on a date, and we went out for dinner. we ended the night tangled together in her sheets.

a few days after valentine's day, jj got a week off from work, for something that i can't remember. they decided to take this time to see their aunt and their two younger cousins, who moved to portland, oregon a while back.

jj has facetimed me at least once a day since she's been there, which has now been four days. the second day she facetimed me, she introduced me to her two younger cousins.

"hi, baby," i answered the facetime call.

"hi, princess," jess flashed a grin. "okay, so... i want you to meet my lil' cousins."

i nodded. she spoke to someone who wasn't in the frame of her camera. "this is my homie; his name is jasper. he's ten, but he'll turn eleven in april. say 'hi,' lil' man."

"what's up?" jasper grinned.

"hi," i greeted with a grin as well. my eyebrows raised a bit, because he honestly looks like he could be jj's kid.

i heard a giggle. jessie laughed, and i watched as she scooped a younger kid into her arms. "and this is naomi. she's four. say 'hi,' princess."

my brows raised a bit again, though i smiled. she's adorable, so i don't mind too much sharing a pet name with her.

"hi," naomi giggled again. she gasped as she looked at me. "you're so pretty!"

i let out a laugh. "thank you. you're pretty too."

she placed her hands over her mouth as she burst into a fit of giggles. she turned to bury her head in jj's chest. jj smiled, and they pressed a kiss to the top of naomi's head.

"you're so cute," i gushed as i watched the interaction.

jess glanced back up at me, and she smiled shyly. "man, quit playing before i come kiss you."

"i'd love that, actually."

she playfully rolled her eyes, while naomi perked up. "i want kisses! can i have kisses? ¡por favor!"

"you want kisses?!" jj's eyes widened. naomi quickly nodded her head. jess grinned before they peppered tons of kisses across naomi's face, which made her laugh loudly.

i watched as she did, with my chin propped in my hand. this was honestly one of the cutest things i'd ever seen, and it made me feel all warm inside. it made my heart swell, and it made a smile form on my lips.

it's a friday night, which meant that i was working at the bar tonight. i was about to head there, though i still had a good while until i needed to be there.
