"hi, baby," billie greeted as she walked over to me.
it's been a little over a week since my birthday. the animation studio has started working on a new project, so i'm working again. billie brought me my lunch today.
"hi, princess," i murmured as i placed my hand on the small of her back. i pulled her closer, and i gave her a kiss. "¿cómo estás?" i raised a brow.
after my birthday, billie asked me to teach her spanish.
"wait... how was my day?" she made an uncertain face.
it's a work in progress.
"no," i laughed. "how are you? sheesh."
she pouted and slumped her shoulders, which only made me laugh more. i pecked her lips a few times, until she started to smile shyly. she buried her head into my chest.
"so... ¿cómo estás?" i repeated.
"i'm good," she murmured. "and you, mama? how are you?"
"i'm good now," i told her with a grin. i planted a kiss on the top of her head, then stepped back. i held my hand out for her's.
i lead her over to where i could eat my lunch. there wasn't anybody in here, so when i sat down, i pulled her into my lap.
"so, how's everything coming along with the project?" she quizzed as i pulled my food out of the bag she brought it in.
"uh... it's coming along," i laughed bit. "everything is still kinda moving slow as we're tryna figure out where exactly to take it, you know? i'm excited for it, nonetheless. starting a new project is always really fun."
she watched and listened with a sweet smile as i continued to ramble on and on, between bites of my food, about the project we're working on, and how i'm going about it.
"that's really good, baby," she murmured after i stopped. i took a sip of my drink. "i'm glad that you're excited for it; i'm happy for you."
i smiled widely. she reached a hand up, and she combed my hair back. "i love working here, honestly. you know what would be cool though?"
"what, angel?" she raised a brow.
"it'd be cool to be an animator for an anime. like, that would be amazing. that would be endgame, for real," i laughed a bit.
"an anime would be cool to animate," she agreed. "who knows, maybe you'll get to one day."
"i hope so," i chuckled. "it's definitely something i wanna do in the future."
i leaned back in the chair, and i kept an arm around billie's waist. "what about you, princess? you and finneas write a new song for someone recently or anything?"
