my face scrunched up as i woke up from the sunlight seeping in through the window. before i could do anything, i halted my movements.

at some point through the night, me and billie had ended up cuddled together. her head was tucked under my chin, her arms were wrapped around me, and our legs were tangled together underneath the sheets.

i froze and tensed up for a few moments. i relaxed with a small breath as i kept my arms around her.

it's so nice to wake up and be cuddled up with someone like this again.

i laid there for a bit longer. billie stayed asleep with her head still buried into my chest. i kept my chin resting on top of her head.

something about this just feels so... right?

i eventually got up. i carefully moved bil's arms from around me. i tried my hardest not to wake her as i did. when i pulled back, her face scrunched up cutely. she let out a small groan, then buried her face into her pillow as she sprawled out across her bed.

i quietly walked out of her room. the lights in the living room and kitchen were on, which meant that somebody had already fixed the power outage issue.

her bedroom light was still off though... maybe she turned it off some time after the power came back or something.

i patted my pocket to grab my phone, but i realized that i had left it in billie's room. i sighed. i don't want to go back in there right now and potentially wake her up.

i let out a yawn as i stretched. i thought for a few moments.

i wonder if she would get mad if i went through her cabinets to make breakfast...

only one way to find out, i guess.

i walked to her kitchen. i quietly opened the cabinets and searched through them. i hummed lowly as i tried to think of what to make.

when i eventually decided on what to make, i got started. i tried to be as quiet as possible, especially when i was grabbing the pans and everything.

soon enough, i was making breakfast. it shouldn't take that long to cook, but if billie's not up by the time i finish making it, i could always just go and wake her up myself.

as i was finishing up cooking, i heard footsteps coming towards me. i glanced to the side, and i smiled as i saw billie sleepily trudging her way over to sit at the counter.

"good morning, sleepy head," i teased with a smile. "i thought you were never going to wake up."

"sorry," she mumbled as she sat down in the stool, then rested her head in her crossed arms. "i was exhausted."

"don't apologize; it's okay," my brows furrowed briefly. "sleep as long as you like, princess."

i glanced over at her. before she buried her face into her arms, i saw a blush make it's way up to her ears. i smiled at the sight.
