"i'm so excited," i grinned.
it only took about two days for me and billie to decide that we wanted to get another puppy. we're adopting one, or at least are going to try to today. billie had absolutely insisted on adopting instead of buying one, and i agreed.
we want another pit-bull, because pit-bulls are adorable, so we're at angel city pit bulls.
"me too," billie smiled as she swung our hands between us.
i opened the door and let her walk in first. i followed behind her and let the door shut behind me.
"oh, hey, billie," the worker at the desk greeted. "how's shark?"
"he's good; stinky," bil scrunched her nose up.
the worker smiled. "are you gonna foster again?"
billie shook her head, then explained that we were here to adopt today. they talked a bit before the worker told us she would be right back.
"since when have you fostered puppies?" i asked.
"well, i did a few times after the divorce; it honestly helped a lot," bil smiled shyly. "sharky is actually one of the pups that i was fostering. i obviously failed at fostering," she joked.
i laughed and shook my head a bit. "that's really cute."
she giggled and gave me a quick kiss. the worker returned a few moments later, and she lead us through the building.
"we've got three puppies right now, and you can meet them all. none of them have names yet, so if you do decide to adopt one today, you'll get to pick their name," she explained.
we nodded. she lead us into a small room, where we spotted an adorable puppy, who was obviously sleepy. i looked to billie with a pout, just to find her already pouting too.
we sat on the ground, close to the puppy, but not too close. the worker told us it was a boy and gave us a few other details before she stepped out of the room.
he walked over to billie first. she smiled as she held her hand out. "hello there," she greeted in the baby voice she uses to talk to sharky, shiloh, peach, and pepper.
i love all the little voices she does; they're so cute.
she does this one when we're cuddling and i'm being really clingy, and i love it. especially when she calls me "my baby," oh my god.
i'm just so in love with her.
he nuzzled up to her leg, and he laid back down. he dozed back off to sleep, which made me giggle.
"he's adorable," i commented as i reached over to gently pet him.
