"I'm not happy with him, Dad. Please take me from here. I don't love or like him; I hate him. Please take me out of this hell... Yeah, how could you do this to him? He is a decent person; you are the one who isn't adjusting to him. He is doing everything to make you comfortable, yet you can't talk to him politely... Huh. You are lucky you only exist in his fanfiction, or I would teach you a lesson," Taehyung scolds the character in the fanfiction he is reading on his phone.

"You will regret it if you lose him. Huh! I hope the author uploads soon," Taehyung mutters, putting his phone away.

"Where did he go? He didn’t even have his breakfast." Taehyung gets up from the bed and makes his way to the window at the front of the mansion, offering a view of the entrance.

Taehyung reaches the window, stretching his arms, when his eyes catch Jungkook holding a flower bouquet, and the sight breaks his heart.

He sees Jungkook getting into Rosé's car with the flowers. The distance is far but close enough to recognize the people, though not their facial expressions.

It shatters Taehyung’s pure heart into a million pieces.

"They're going on a date? So Jungkook loves her too… I—I'm the obstacle between them... He doesn’t l-like me... This necklace means nothing... I’m only his frie-friend." By now, Taehyung’s eyes are full of tears as he watches the car drive away, his vision blurred.

---

Meanwhile, Jungkook hurriedly walks out of the house when Rosé approaches him.

"Oh hey, Kookie, where are you going? I came here to deliver the album of the par—"

"I don't want to hear anything. Please, just get me away from here." Seeing her friend's condition, Rosé doesn’t ask anything and drives away as Jungkook instructed. The way Jungkook throws the flowers into the back seat makes her understand something has happened.

---

She parks the car at the side of the road, and Jungkook immediately steps out, heading to the railing as his heartbeat races uncontrollably. The feeling suffocates him.

Rosé steps out and stands beside him. They remain silent for some time, as Rosé knows Jungkook needs space to clear his mind.

Finally, she asks, "Now, can you explain?"

"I destroyed his life," Jungkook says, his response confusing her.

"Who?"

"Taehyung." Her surprise is evident.

"What?"

"I told Mom that I’m not a husband-type person, that I can’t make anyone happy. I told her, but she didn’t listen, and now look—I was right." Rosé is taken aback, seeing Jungkook’s glossy eyes; she has never seen him cry before.

"What rubbish! Who told you that you aren’t a husband type?"

"No one… no one told me. I know I am. Then why does Taehyung want to leave me?" Jungkook looks at her, and she is shocked.

"What?"

"Yes, I heard him talking to his father. Living with me is hell for him. He hates me. And why wouldn’t he? I’m a terrible person. I know he deserves someone way better than me. I’ve literally destroyed his life." Jungkook looks away, harshly wiping his tears. Rosé opens her mouth to respond but doesn’t know what to say.

"I will free him. I’ll divorce him." This shocks her.

"Jungkook, listen. Don’t make any decisions right now. You aren’t in your right mind. Take some time to relax. And most importantly, talk to Taehyung first," she pleads.
