Sitting in a long booth. The best way to put it is... this is awkward. First, we walked into both Ahri and Evelynn in the mall as we swung by and they both asked if we wanted to join up with them for the day.
Then Kai'Sa and Fred walked into the mess which doesn't sit right by me but I can't really say anything to her seeing as we aren't dating whatsoever. Then fucking Conner and his friends show up and I have been getting the nasty eye ever since we all decided to come to sit down here.
Akali then breaks the silence, "Well... this is pretty awkward huh?"
Ahri nods, "I mean... not for me and Eve. We just swung by but it looks like you all wanted to make plans and ended up skipping out on each other."
"Way to be blunt about it," I chuckle.
"Doing my best," she winks at me.
Fred then speaks, "At least all of us came together so there is no point fighting, let's all get along for the day and go back to being children tomorrow?"
Kai'Sa agrees, "Let's focus on having fun over anything else," she then locks eyes with me, and she flashes me a quick smile as I try to do the same, I am still pissed but not at her just him and the situation.
Fuck not being petty, I just want to kick that shit-eating grin off of his face.
Akali scootches a little bit closer to me, saying in a whisper, "You look like you are about to lose your collective shit," I turn to her as she giggles, "Come on it isn't that bad, we had our fun so we can stick with the group a bit."
"Just don't look at Conner otherwise you will see the exact same face."
She peeks past me as she flashes him a smile and waves at him from across the table, "He doesn't look that pissed."
"Must be better than hiding it than me," I rub my brow, "Whatver."
Ahri then taps the side of my leg with her foot, "I want to whisper too, who are we talking about?"
Akali giggles, "(Y/N)'s mood is spoiled."
"Awww, poor you."
Evelynn then looks at me, "Don't blame him. Not exactly the company I'd like to be around," she looks to her left as Eric shoots her the same glare.
"Don't want to be here either."
"Suck it up then," she glares at him.
Ahri then looks at her, "You should really suck it up yourself."
She sighs, "When did we become friends with their friends? I don't recall talking to them a single day without wanting to rip their tongues out."
Fred chimes in, "Love you too, Eve."
"Don't call me that."
"Yeah, that's weird. Don't call her that," Ahri looks at Fred with a suddenly annoyed stare, almost copying Evelynn perfectly.
Evelynn cracks a smile as she rolls her eyes at Ahri, "You don't have to fight my fights with me."
"Kinda going to considering if you didn't call me I'd be in bed doing nothing as per usual."
I then ask her, "Really? You can always message... after I give you my number, if you want to hang out. I can usually make time."
She smiles at me, "Maybe when we all get home. Then I will know for sure if I like you or not."
I furrow my brow, "Like me?"
"She means it as she says it, don't read too deeply into it," Evelynn sighs.
"Right..."
Akali chuckles, "You two are really good friends, how long have you known eachother."
"Kindergarten," Ahri lights up.
Evelynn then smiles at her, "To long."
"Hey!"
As those two start to work out their kinds, I then lift myself, "Just excuse me for a bit, food is going to take a while anyway and I want to go check out a store across the food court, see if my sister wants something."
Akali then nods, "I'll save your seat."
"At this rate Conner might steal it regardless."
She chuckles, "He has me tomorrow so he can suck it up."
I shake my head, "See you in a moment then," I climb out of the bench and start walking to the store as I hear someone run to catch up to me.
"Heya," Kai'Sa sides next to me, "You were giving me some nasty looks, almost thought you were starting to hate me, and then I realized Fred was sitting next to me."
"Kind of... like eighty percent of me being a little annoyed," I admit.
She laughs as she tilts her head watching me with a smile, "Someone is a little bit jealous?"
"Nope."
"Well. It doesn't matter because you know that I have a crush on you," she then returns her gaze to her front, "I was going to call you to hang out but didn't want to be a bother, Fred called so I kinda just accepted it cause I wanted to be busy. That and it looks like Akali already made plans with you."
"Are you jealous?" I ask.
"Akali is sweet. I like her," she nods, "Plus it is your decision who you want to date. I already... made my case and if you ended up dating her, me, or both of us it wouldn't really bother me as long as I know you aren't going anywhere."
She just let it slip, the answer to my question to why she is like that. Why she doesn't want to start falling in love because she is scared I might disapear. I then look at her with a pained gaze.
"Kai..."
"Hmm?"
"What do you mean both of us?"
She rolls her eyes, "Focus on what you were going to say first before we focus on that little bit of information," noticing that my thoughts won't move on, "I said I liked her, she is sweet and very likable and if it ever came down to something like that I would be able to have feelings for her."
"Is this a Shuriman thing?"
"It is a Kai'Sa thing," she smiles at me, "I am pretty open-minded so don't think to much about it, okay?"
"I'm going to start my own Harem," I nod to myself.
She pushes me with her arm, "Stop."
I then smile at her, "I don't know what to say to you to make you feel comforted by the fact, I don't want to give you promises either but-"
She shakes her head, "You don't need to do anything other than being you, okay? I will find my answer on my own like I always do, besides I have a year or so to figure it out before we all do our own thing so I will try to hurrry up."
"Hurry up and take your time."
"Right," she giggles.
Still doesn't make me want to kick his ass any less, at least I am in a little bit better of a mood. Maybe I am selfish... hell I don't care. At least I can finally be selfish over something in my life... like I should be.
