I wake up early, heading straight to get breakfast the scene of last night is still fresh in my head. I notice Kai'Sa hovering around the mess hall, we all share one kitchen between two classes but at least it is pretty massive.

I drop down next to her, she looks at me with a slight smile, "Morning."

"G'morning," I return the greeting, "Sleep well?"

She nods, "Just a bit, just ended up fighting to get showered last night so I just ended up doing it this morning... so I am never going to shower last again."

I chuckle, "I imagine getting into bed dirty is pretty uncomfortable."

She puffs her cheeks, furrows her brow at me, "I wasn't dirty dirty, it is not like I was covered in dirt and grim."

I then calm her down, "I didn't mean it that way, Kai'Sa," then chuckling at her, "How is the trip so far?"

She then tilts her head to the sides, pushing her lips as she blows air out, "It is actually pretty cool - but it isn't really super exciting but being with friends is really making it better... Akali also being here makes it even better."

"You do kinda have a thing for her," I say with a smug expression.

She rolls her eyes, "I mean... it was more thanking you for making sure she doesn't run away."

I stop her, "I have been hearing that a lot lately. Please stop thanking me, I am just happy to see she is staying and trying to make it better for herself even if it isn't the easiest thing in the world to do - I have run away from my fair share of things."

She purses her lips, "I guess but still, she probably looks up to you," then states with a smile, "She is pretty cute."

"Just like you," I chuckle.

"And you, are a pain in the ass," she repeats Evelynn's words, she giggles taking a deep breath, "She really really likes bullying you."

"I just think that is how she is. Hmmm, but I don't mind it all. It makes for a pretty funny conversation."

"I can imagine," she then moves past the conversation, "Hey... about the ball..."

I nod, "About the ball?"

"Have you thought about who you are going to go with?" she asks me carefully, I keep staring at her as her cheeks slightly redden, and she pulls her gaze away from me, "It's kinda because, you know, Akali has a crush on you after that thing, I kinda also like you and there is Evelynn that did her little thing and, well, it is kinda hard-"

I stop her, "If you wanted to, you should probably just ask me?" I counter.

She nods slowly, "I should," he shy expression fades to a faint smile, "I just kind of don't want to get in the middle of a lot of things - but it isn't like we aren't going to be friends because of it."

I give her some time before I nudge my elbow against her side, she slowly looks at me, "Do you-"

She stops me, "No- I mean I'd rather ask in a way that isn't just so... you know?"

I shake my head, "I don't get it," clearly just teasing her.

She then puffs her cheeks, "You are doing this on purpose aren't you?"

I pull her closer for a hug as I chuckle, "Maybe?"

She then shakes her head as she returns the hug. She then places her hands between her legs as she awkwardly watches me through the corner of her eye, she then shakes her head as she breathes out.

"Do you have someone you want to ask?"

I lift my shoulders, "I can think of a name on the top of my head."

She then states, "I think... I kinda don't want to ask you, I don't want any of them to ask you because the group might just... you know? I wouldn't mind if Akali asked you but then there are two other girls."

"We will work it out," I smile at her, "But why are you fine with Akali doing it?"

She then scoots a bit closer, resting her head against my arm as we are the only two in the room, she whispers, "I kinda like her just as much as I like you, maybe the three of us can work something out where all of us are happy."

I then reassure her, "Evelynn and Ahri are going together."

"Really?!"

I chuckle, "Don't be that excited."

"No, I didn't expect that. I mean they are friends but they have someone they are interested in, or maybe I am just looking at it the wrong way..."

"Maybe that," I then cross my arms over the table, "I just care about enjoying my last year before everything changes anyway - I want to be friends and grow with that bond so that even when we all leave... nothing will change between us."

She offers the same smile, "I am tired of losing friends." I know she is, she then gives me a grateful smile, "Hey... thanks for considering me in everything every time."

"I try my best," I stretch my arms out, "But how do you feel about Ahri and Evelynn?"

She tilts her head, lowering her gaze as she begins, "Hmm... truthfully? I feel like Evelynn and Ahri like keeping things between them and it makes it harder to slide in between them, Akali is very personable and ends up talking and talking."

I nod, "She does do that. I am kind of having a hard time getting a read on those two, how they really feel."

"You will figure it out," she states, "If you don't, then it wasn't meant to be."

"Guess that is how things work."

"So," she turns my attention to something else, "Plans for the day?"

"Stick with the group. Let's just focus on having fun."
