147 - Final Stretch

We repurposed one of the rooms to incorporate a place for us to work from home - everyone else has been asleep from being busy. I just finished a lot of the legal things behind it and we are just waiting on a camera crew to shoot our music video.

Then we are just in time for the reunion.

I walk down with two cups of coffee towards the room - Akali is passed out on the couch whereas Kai'Sa and Evelynn went to bed a long time ago. I then get into the room to see that Ahri is still where I left her.

I put it down as she looks at me with a smile, "Thanks, sweety."

I wrap my arms around her middle, "Everyone else is sleeping - we have done pretty much everything we can and I am going to sound super confident but the track is perfect."

She nuzzles her face against mine, feeling her ears brush against me, "I know - just going through the plans we have for the music video shoot. The plan is to go far with the debut single, most of my brands are already waiting for the changes."

She then returns her attention to the table.

I glance over my shoulder to see Akali sleeping on the couch just behind us in the same room - she wanted to stay up and help but she passed out.

"She's cute isn't she?" Ahri chuckles.

I nod, "Was trying her little heart out to do her best - even Eve is already going to bed and she is the perfectionist."

"Take her to bed, will you?"

I then shake my head, "Not if you are also going to bed- can't have you sit here alone doing all of the work and potentially change all of our plans."

She scoffs, "I am not going to do that."

"Promise?"

"Yeah - not without letting any of you know beforehand and proceeding to do it whether or not any of you said yes or no."

I snort, letting go of her I reach for my cup as I sit down in the seat, "Have you heard from any of the old friends?"

She nods, "Quite a bit - a lot of them hoping for a dance. Others hoping that I am the person greeting us all at the reunion. I hate speeches," she chuckles, "But I have a whole image now so I guess I kinda have to lean into it."

I then state, "Dances?"

"That's what you are focussing on?"

"You are taken by at least four others."

"And they are all super adorable," she winks at me, "Besides - we haven't gone public on our situation and relationships. I don't think we ever need to but don't go and hide when we drop this."

I then counter, "I think it is going to hit the media like wildfire for about a month and then it will just be a lot of men wishing they were me."

She rolls her eyes, "Can think of a few names~"

"Don't be rude to them," I chuckle, "It's kind of unfair for them to compete against four people."

She then asks me, "Do I have to worry about your exes?"

"If any of them remember me," I state, "They probably will. I am more worried about your fanboys that are going to gut me for daring to touch their fox girl."

"Please don't bully my fans."

"Bully?" I roll my eyes, "As if I am not going to be bullied."

She then smiles at me, "You'll be fine, sweety," then crossing her arm over her stomach she looks back at the plans while she drinks her coffee, "Think we can get away with painting a subway train?"

I nod, "If we turn our single into a global hit - they will turn the subway into a monument."

She nods, "Eve also wants to go on a shopping spree for her new designer car - Kai'Sa needs some outfit materials and we have some pretty nice designs so far," she gives me the paper, "What do you think?"

"Are we going to make more than one outfit?"

"Isn't that just... you know? Regulation?"

I nod, "You never know if it suddenly tears or gets dirty from unknown circumstances."

She snorts, "Okay maybe a little bit too suggestive there, sweety," I then arch my brow at her, "What?"

"Have you seen the designs?" I gesture to them, "There are a lot of tight-fit things going on here and I am just going to express have you seen any of you?" I then twist my lips around, "Then again... stage presence matters."

She looks at me with an amused expression, "I don't know if you are excited or complaining. But yes - I know exactly what you mean."

I chuckle, I then gesture to a few things, "Also the lights will be easy to get - will leave it to the camera crew and the special effects team we will be getting for the video. Have some ideas we can work with."

"Cool~" she then walks towards me dropping down on my lap as I get a face full of tail, "Then we need to worry about the reunion and dresses for that - the planning is essential because if we drop it a bit before then it saves us from having to attend things we really don't want to attend because of the reunion."

I groan in response, "Can't wait to get the endless amounts of podcast requests with the incredibly invasive questions."

"I bet you will love them," she giggles.

She leans backwards while I wrap my arms around her, she then rests her head against mine as she whispers, "I am pretty tired."

I then state, "Can crash with Akali on the couch."

She shakes her head, "We should take her to bed."

"Mine?"

"Sure," she nods, "I am pretty sure Eve and Kai'Sa are already in the same bed - seeing as we just vibe the entire who sleeps with who when."

"Not going to complain," I then pat the side of her legs for her to get off of me, then lifting myself I walk to Akali and try to gently shake her awake, "Akali... come on."

She groans, "Hmmm?"

"Come on. Time for bed."

"Are we done?" she lifts herself, "I didn't get to-"

I then shake my head, "We already finished."

"Oh... sorry," she yawns.

I shake my head at her as I then tuck my hands under her legs as she throws her arms around my neck, "Where do you want to sleep?"

"In a bed."

"Good answer," Ahri chuckles as I carry her out towards my room, I set her down in the middle and she doesn't waste any time crawling under the covers. 

Not a moment later Ahri then walks in stretching all her limbs before turning the light off and getting in next to Akali. I then get into my usual spot as we get cosy - this could last forever and I would never complain.
