The three of us have finally reached the little house where we will be waiting for the festival to be announced. There is a lot more to it, a lot of stalls and shops to go towards but nothing that I am really interested in.
But the two of them have already dragged me along with them to try out different assortments of food, drink, and the games they keep around for the kiddies to play.
It is still an entire festival, but I wonder why they want to have all of it up here when they could have just done some of the smaller things down there - probably because this is a sacred place where they always held the festival.
The two of them are all smiles, it makes me happy to see them enjoying themselves and I feel like I am the one that just ended up tagging along even though I wanted to be part of it in the first place.
Akali then sides next to me between the crowd handing me a bag of sweets, "It is sour and I hope you like it more than the two of us do."
I chuckle, "I don't fuss about small things."
"It's not fussing," Kai'Sa states, "I prefer sweet things, and I don't like how the sour just makes your mouth feel sore and raw," she pulls her face, I then look at her hair noticing that she has been growing it out.
I instinctively look at Akali who has been sporting the same hairstyle ever since I knew her. Which is hardly a year - the thought just brings back all the memories of how we got here and the pain of dealing with jealous children.
I open the pack of sweets and take one of the jellies only to instantly wince at how sour it is, "That is the reason," Kai'Sa gives me this sympathetic look, "I hate it."
Akali looks at her, "You are being so dramatic," I shake the pack as I present it to Akali, "Oh, thank you," she takes one and she doesn't pull a face at all, "It isn't that bad," but you can still see the corner of her mouth twitching.
Kai'Sa then eyes her suspiciously, "Want one?" I offer.
"I guess," she takes one, she has by far the cutest and worst reaction to it, like her whole body tensed up the moment she tasted the sour, "It so bad! What do you mean not that bad?!"
Akali snorts, "Had to get you to take it someway."
"As easy as tricking a child," Kai'Sa looks at me with the same face, "What?" I laugh as I ask.
"I hate both of you," she then gestures, "There is a drink stand in the back and I need something sweet to save my mouth from feeling like sandpaper," she walks over as I then nudge my elbow into her side.
"That would be bad," her cheeks redden a bit.
"Mh mhm," Akali then pops her head beside me.
"Want to get some souvenirs?" she points pulls me back and points to a stall filled with charms, rings, necklaces, bag trinkets, and patches, "We could get one for the two of them back there."
I twist my lips to the side as Kai'Sa walks forward towards it with Akali, "You might actually have a good idea there."
The two of them are instantly invested in it and I bet Kai'Sa forgot about her sour taste. I then look at the pack as I take another one, it does feel better after this first one. I then side next to them presenting the pack.
Kai'Sa shoots me this look that she isn't as stupid as I think she is, Akali on the other hand takes a small handful with a grin on her face. I hover behind them for a little while as the two of them turn to me.
"We are done~"
"And?"
"Not now," Kai'Sa giggles, "We will give it out to the rest of the group when all of us are together."
