I make my way to the backyard again, and lay down on a sunbed next to Lizzie's. "Holy fuck, you're hot!" she cheers, making me laugh. "Seriously though, that bikini is fucking gorgeous! You look so good!" Sarah adds, laying down in the sunbed in my other side.
"Thank you, both of you! You look amazing too!" I giggle, grabbing my phone as we all laugh. "I'm gonna go for a swim, it's crazy hot out here" Sarah sighs, standing up and taking Emily with her to the pool.
"Hey Am, can I ask you something?" Lizzie asks, looking at me. I look back at her, nod my head and put down my phone again. "What do you think of Chris?" she asks again, and I slowly drop my smile. I look around the backyard for a second, and see laying on a sunbed next to Sebastian and Scott.
"Um... Honestly?" I ask in reply, making her smile. "Yeah, tell me! You two look so cute together, I need to know what's behind it" she silently adds, so I slowly nod my head and silently sigh.
"Well, um, I don't really know what I think of him. He makes me feel a little... Confused, I guess. I don't know, I'm confused but I really like being his friend" I reply, making Lizzie smile bright.
"Right, so... You do like him?" she asks, and I smile back at her. "Ofcourse I do, he's a great friend and he's been there for me all the time" I reply, but she giggles. "No sweetie, I mean, as more than a friend. Do you like him like that?" she asks again, giving me a hopeful smile.
"I don't want to hurt Shanna" I silently say, almost whispering after a moment of silence, knowing that I really do like Chris like that now. "Oh sweetie, but I'm sure you won't! She wants the best for you, fob the both of you" Lizzie adds, but I shake my head.
"Yeah, no, I-I know but... I'm just gonna let it go. He's a great friend, we'll keep it that way" I explain, so she silently sighs and nods her head. "I get that, but just see where it goes" she adds, so we both smile and grab our phones to check it for a moment.
