CHAPTER NINETEEN

The next day I woke in the tree I meet Cris with him lying next to me. I guess I snuck out when I was to tired to remember. I cuddled up to him to get a little warmer. He put his arm around me when I did that. He is so nice he always has been taking care of me even when I didn't know about it. He has been saving my life, he's been comforting me when I am sad or mad, he has been watching me since I first meet him at school.

"What are you doing up there?" It was Jason. I almost jumped ten feet in the air.

"I, ah." I said nudging Cris to wake him up. "Hold on ill be there in a second." I told Jason. "Cris wake up Jason's here!" I said quietly. He then jumped up looking at me concerned then looked down at him.

"Crap!" He said quietly but scared. "If he figures out we will both be in trouble." He said even more scared. We started to climb down the tree so he wouldn't expect anything. "Why is he over here?" Cris asked me.

"I don't know." I told him. We were finally at the bottom.

"So what were you doing up there?" Jason asked us.

"Well we decided to climb the tree last night and it was relaxing so we fell asleep." I said trying to sound convincing. Surprisingly Jason believed me. "Well, I got to get home to get ready for school." I said then me and Cris left heading for my house. "Wait out here in like ten minutes knock on the door and ask for me." I told Cris.

"Ok." Cris told me then I went inside to get ready. Ten minutes later Cris knocked on the door and asked for me like I told him to do. Then we started heading for school.

When we got to the tree Jason was waiting there for me. "Great!" I said getting mad. " I wanted to eat now I can't." I was getting angry at Jason. I went up to him angrily. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I yelled at him. Then Cris came to stop me.

"Honey, you can when we get to school." he said quietly so Jason wouldn't hear.

"But I want to eat now!" I said mad but quietly. Then I went over to Jason, "Sorry." I said calming down
