CHAPTER TWENY-SIX
Jamie's point of veiw
I'm pacing, what am I supposed to tell my parents Caroline is gone probably in trouble. Ill be in trouble, I hope Caroline is ok, I hope Cris will be ok. Where would he be going he doesn't want me to come to with him?
The door is being unlocked. My mom is home, they walk in the door. "What's a matter?" My mom asked me seeing the worry on my face. I looked up that said 'missing'. "Where's Caroline?" She asked really concerned.
"Gone," I said quietly but loud enuf for her to hear. "But Cris knows where she went and is going to go get her." My mom was replacing the concerned look with a worried look. "Mom it'll be fine, Cris will bring her back safe and sound. It just might uh might take a while." I slightly mumbled the last sentence.
"Why?!" She said worried and mad.
"He needs to make sure that the people that took her won't take anyone else, in this family. It will take no more then a week." I said briskly
"I thought you said she left not got kidnapped!" She said getting angry. "I'm calling the police!" She said as she started walking towards the phone. I pulled her back.
"No! Mom I need to tell you something promise me you won't freak or tell anyone?" I said trying to calm myself.
"I promise. What is it?" She said as if she had nothing else to lose.
I had my fangs come out. "Mom I'm a vampire, and so is Cris, and the people that took Caroline." I said wish I didn't have to say that. "You just put more people in trouble if you call the police. I just might have you in harms way because I told you." I said ashamed.
"How long have you been one? Who turned you? Is Caroline ok?" She said panicky.
"No more then a week, Cris, and I think so, if not Cris will teach them a lesson." I said concerned and soothingly.
"Are you ok?" She said looking at me with her eyes popping out concerned.
"Yes, Cris has been taking care of me, he has given me food when I need it, helped me when I'm about to hurt someone," i said and my mom backed off, "don't worry I won't hurt you." I said assuringly. I hope other vampires won't hurt her.
"My baby is a monster." She said sadly. I gave her an excuse me look but then I thought about it gave a I see where you come from look. "How bad is it being a.." I could tell she didn't want to finish that sentence.
"Vampire? It's pretty good, except for the quenching thirst for blood." I told her a kindly as possible, which is hard with that sentence.
