CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX
We started to feel around the room. I was feeling around a wall and I felt something, I pulled it up, it was a window.
"hey guys I found a window!" I said and by the time I was finished my sentence they were already next to me.
"Let me see if its clear." Doug said. he then looked out the window. he looked at us and said, "its clear. Jamie, Caroline, Jamie's mom." He then put his hand out to give us a boost to get out of the window, then Cris came out then Doug. Cris and Doug took my mom and Caroline, and we started running towards home.
It started to get dark so we found a safe place to camp we let my mom and Caroline stay at the camp and Doug protected them, while Cris and I were hunting for food. meat for the humans and blood for the vampires. When I caught a deer and Cris caught a bear we headed back to camp to drain the blood to drink and we cooked the meat for my family. and when we were done we all went asleep in trees, except Cris and I. We both climbed to the top of the tree.
"How far away from home are we?" I asked Cris.
"We are not that far, we can get there by lunch time tomorrow." Cris said.
We sat there for a couple minutes, thinking about what we would do when we got home.
"How long has it been since Caroline came here? When does she have to go back?" I asked worried about how her mom is worrying if its already been two weeks.
"I don't know but we can find out when we get home tomorrow." Cris said in the voice that made me melt. I hadn't heard that voice in a while, I loved it when he spoke in that voice. with that we snuggled up to each other and fell asleep.
