CHAPTER FOURTY-SEVEN
I could see that Cris had curiosity on his face. Then he looked at Devone.
"I survived now let me out, you no longer have control over Jamie, Doug, me, and however else want to come with me!" Cris said.
Devone then pulled out a stake, that's what was behind his back. He went to go stab Cris but luckily he dodged, then Cris grabbed it and was about to stab Devone.
"Unlock me or else this goes in." I could barely hear Cris say.
"Go ahead." Devone said looking deadly at Cris. Cris put the stake closer to Devone.
"Last chance." Cris said in the same voice as Devone.
"Like I said before, go a..." Devone started, then Cris stabbed him. Then he broke the chains. Looked at the dead body then at me. He saw the fear in my eyes and ran over to me.
"Sweetie, it's okey. We are safe now, no longer worrying about the leader. I guess I'm the leader now." He said in his voice that made me calm down. I didn't work, I was still terrified.
"No, it's not okey. You just killed someone, even worse it was our leader. I mean he wasn't to great, but still." I said staring into his eyes, there was fear in his eyes too.
"I know Jamie, I didn't want to, but he almost killed me. So it's either me or him, I decided him." He said with regret in his voice. I looked deeper into his eyes.
"Please don't do that again, or at least when I'm not around. I don't need to see dead bodies that I know you killed. Please promise me." I said tears to my eyes.
"I won't unless I have to, sweetie I might have to kill people to save you, to save us." He said so sincerely. "I love you so much."
"I love you too, more then anything." I said hugging him.
"Let's go get Doug, and get out of here." He said untangling from the hug and grabbed my hand and was guiding me, I went with him.
