CHAPTER FORTY

About twenty minutes into us playing, I start doubling over in pain, and every thing went black.

"Are you ok?" Maeve asked me, hovering over me. "What hurts?" I was able to hear the fear in her voice. She ran over to the kitchen and got my mom.

"Jamie, sweetie, what hurts?" She asked me. I was in so much pain I couldn't move or talk. "I think you should go." She told Maeve. Maeve stood up and left, she looked sad, and not wanting to leave, but left anyway.

I heard my mom call someone. "Hello I need help. Something is wrong with my daughter." She said panicky. "Okey thanks." I heard her say, then hang up.

I then felt a hand on me. It was cold and very caring. It reminded me of Cris. I started crying, not because of the pain, but because I missed Cris so much.

I couldn't feel, hear, or see after, what seemed like an hour. I was scared. Then I fell into a deep sleep.

When I awoke, I was in a white room, I was in the hospital. "I've never seen anything like this before." I barely heard.

"Is she going to be okey?" I heard my mom say, worried. It made me feel a little better.

"We're not sure, she'll have to stay over night and do some tests, if it's okey with you?" I heard the doctor say.

"I'll think about it." She said, which made me scared again. "I'm going to go see her now." She came in the door, and I pretended to sleep.

She called someone. "Hey, can you come to the hospital?" She paused. "Ya, I know but Jamie really needs you." Once again she paused. "K, thanks, see you in a couple minutes." The she hung up.

I opened my eyes and my mom was right away sitting on my bed and hugging me. "Are you okey?" She said almost to tears.

"Yeah, mom who did you just call?" I asked her. She looked at me in the eyes.

"It's a surprise, someone really important." She told me then sat next to me.

I heard a knock at my door. "Come in." My mom said. The door opened, and I went into shock.
