Can I get a 'hello' in the chat from the straights?

Can I get a 'hello' in the chat from the gays?

Can I get a 'hello' in the chat from the not quite sure's?

Anyway-

Fair warning, it's late here and I'm not willing to put in the effort to proofread, so here. (Edit: don't worry Past Me--Future You is here to save the readers from death by grammatical error)

3rd Person POV

Things soon fell into an orderly routine for the newest addition to the house; wake up, build up the will to get out of bed, go downstairs and eat breakfast, watch TV, chat with his roommates, eat lunch, continue chilling around the house, eat dinner, relax and watch a movie as a group, and go to bed.

All was well from most aspects, and things would be peaceful enough if it weren't for the uncomfortable atmosphere anytime that the two exes were in a room together--it almost feels like you can't breathe around the tension. The same tension that has made the last week hard, but not impossible. The four still had fun, but it was awkward when George and Alex had to pretend that they didn't see the hurt and longing glances thrown back and forth between the other two when they thought their ex wasn't watching.

Maybe they could sort things out, but they'd need a bit of convincing, and that's where George and Alex come into play.

George couldn't stand to see his friends moping around and missing each other, while Alex either couldn't stand their whining, or couldn't bear to see the two looking so down in the dumps (Gosh it disturbs me to see you Gaston, looking so down in the dumps-), though he was far from admitting which.

Alex had become quite fond of this game that Sapnap had introduced him to, and now played it often with everyone in the house. He was a bit foggy on the name, but the game's concept surrounded resource collection and survival to make it through a series of three realms, and he had to say, so far, it didn't disappoint. By far the most entertaining part was squabbling with his roommates.

The only time he passes up joining in is when one of the others in the house is streaming--he hasn't quite found the courage to be in the public eye yet. All three streamers have tried relentlessly to get Alex to start his own channel, claiming he'd enjoy it. But Alex holds his ground with a firm grasp, never backing--

Not Giving in to the Incessant Begging: day 5 - 3:26 p.m.

"Pleeeeeaaaaaassse, you'll love it!" Sapnap whines for the umpteenth time.

A chanting of overlapping pleas echos throughout the room as the trio gangs up on Alex, attempting to get him to use the channel they'd already made him the week prior--without his consent, clearly--and join their stream that day.

"Okay fine!" Alex huffs, deciding that if he's going to babysit three grown-ass men every day, he's going to have to give in every now and again.

A sudden burst of high-fives, self-congratulations, and cheers of success fills the room, and Quackity can't help but roll his eyes at their childishness--not that he really is any better.

Time Skip (about 45 minutes)

"Sooo... that's it?" Alex's roommates had just finished helping him customize his channel and join their discord server, and George was now working on adding him to their world in the game.

"That's it." Sapnap replies with a small but firm nod, and he's smiling so incredibly bright that Alex can't help but smile back.

"Just hop in the discord call when you're ready, Sapnap and George will already be streaming, so take some deep breaths or something before you join." Karl recites for probably the fifth time in the past 20 minutes.

"Yeah, yeah, so I've heard. Now shoo, get out, I have important business to attend to." Alex says whilst gesturing for the three to leave as he speaks in the slightly higher pitched voice that he uses when he's messing around.

"So rude." George scoffs in return as he closes the door behind them.

After some much-needed self-hyping, Alex joins the discord call with the same voice he used to shoo the others from his room, mouth close to his mic. "Hello guys."

Enthusiastic greetings are exchanged, all the while the two currently streaming's chats fly, asking who was with them.

"So, chat, today we have a very special guest with us. Sir, would you mind introducing yourself to the chat?"

"No, no, not at all, good sir." Alex replies, fully ready to get on everyone's nerves and gain some followers. "I'm Quackity and," he leans in closer to his mic and lowers his voice to a near-whisper, "if you ever find yourself in need of drugs-"

Laughs fill the call; all the while George is trying to do damage control and convince his chat that "Quackity is only joking!" and begging everyone else to "tell chat he's joking!"

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." Alex manages to squeeze out between laughs, after things die down a bit, and he sits back in his chair, listening and cackling alongside the banter of his friends.

'Maybe this won't be so bad.' Alex thinks to himself, and wow, is he in for a surprise.
