Please let me know if there are any others!

Hey guys, the second chapter, Karlnap, has SIGNIFICANTLY less views than the chapter after it, Demons, so if you could just go check to make sure you didn't skip that one, that would be great.

I hope you're having a wonderful day/night, and remember to take care of yourselves!

3rd Person POV:

Over and over again, the days repeat.

George tries to progress.

Karl tries to heal.

Alex tries to separate real from fake.

And Sapnap? Sapnap talks to Alex.

Days blend, George counts. Hours pass, Karl watches. Seconds pass, Sapnap waits. Months pass, Alex sleeps.

After nearly two months of Alex being in the hospital, no one tolerates his roommate's presence any longer. Sapnap is forced to not stay overnight. Karl is forced from his seat. George is ushered to walk again, but can only do so with a LOT of help.

Needless to say, the three resisted at first, but after many threats to call the police, they obliged.

Alex was still confused as hell as to what was going on. The bruises on his skin seemed tinted with orange, but he was sure it was only his imagination. Probably.

But that wasn't the weirdest part, not by a long shot. The weirdest part was the way Alex never seemed to see his reflection. Sure, there were no actual mirrors in his house, but bottle shards, silverware, and puddles of beer should work the same way. Right?

Wrong. Alex stared in anything he could find that should bend the image back to him, but all he could see was his surroundings. It was as if he was in a video game that had been poorly looked over before being released to the eyes of the public, where he just wasn't loading in front of the room around him in, what should be, his reflection.

Alex tried to think nothing of this, but it was getting harder. He didn't want to give in to hope. All he could do was wish that his suspicions were correct and that he could wake, yet again.

The confused boy had been washing the dishes that cluttered their dirty sink when he had heard it. It was an odd, but welcome, sensation to his ears, after having not heard the sound in a long, long while.

"Hey Quack, I've been meaning to come talk to you but- god, Sapnap I feel stupid." Karl's voice rang out, yet the last part of his sentence was quieter to Alex, not directed at him.

Karl had been coaxed slowly but surely into talking and, eventually, standing from where he'd taken to sitting at the shared house, on the couch.  After that, Karl had slowly come back to himself, and Nick leaped at the opportunity to make Karl talk to Quackity.

Alex could only make out faint, incoherent mumbles from an unmistakable voice that he'd grown to be accustomed to hearing each day. Nick.

"Okay, okay." Alex could hear the faint sound of Karl breathing himself to a calm state. "Sap finally convinced me to come see you. I'm not going to lie, I really didn't want to. Well- it's not that I didn't want to see you or anything, but I just didn't want to see you just lying here, instead of running around and being the actual embodiment ofchaos." Karl giggled softly at the thought, reminiscing over a time, long past, and well missed.

"You know, you're really dogwater at waking up, I'm going to need you to work on that." Another chuckle, this time with a tint of sadness present. "Anyway, I really miss you, and I really, really need you to come back."

More mumbling, accompanied by sniffling and shuffling.

"Hi." Now that was a voice Alex didn't expect to hear. From what Sapnap had told him, George had been doing well, but not well enough to speak. And, although it was faint, Alex's ears were as focused as possible to make out the other male's next words. "I-I miss you. An-and" he takes a moment to breathe. "I hope you wake up soon, we love you."

'Wake up.' Alex scoffed a bit at the thought. 'If only it were that simple, I would've been home ages ago.'

'Home...

I'm coming home.

Just wait up for me guys.

I'll see you again.'
