TW:
Please let me know if you find any!

Having some editing issues as far as Z being able to send and view the chapters, so I'm going to apologize in advance for any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes, and also for the lack of funny comments from Z which are probably like 75% of why you guys are here to be honest.

Anyway, I'm sorry for that BUT...

HOLY F*CK WE HIT 3k!!!

Karl POV:

George sped down roads and back allies, working his way to the hospital as fast as possible. Sapnap sat, silent in the back seat. His hands falling limply I front of him between his legs, elbows resting on his knees as he seems ti be contemplating all of life.

The tension in the air hangs like curtains from rafters of concern. Why not break it, if not to ease weight off of my shoulders, then to distract the two?

"Sooo... how was your day sweetie, is school well?" I say, almost hesitantly at first, but then pledging every bit of fake joy I have into this role. "Your father and I haven't heard much from you lately, what with school work and all." I say, turning to Sap in the backseat, trying with all of my being not to cry.

Sapnap gives me an unimpressed look, his eyes screaming 'F*ck off' and 'Really? Now?'

So I oblige, turning back around to face the wind shield, but not before offering an apologetic look. George is smiling when I glance at him, normally he would be laughing.

The rest of the ride is silent, all of us merely riding joy's high merely in our minds. Excitement, anxiety, hope, all bubble in my chest and I am left to sit ecstatically in silence with my roommates who are surly feeling the same.

Upon pulling into a parking spot we dash through the lot, no time to lose. Sap pushes open the door, revealing three disheveled looking figures, chests heaving from running. We probably would have looked like we were in some action movie if we didn't also look like we'd just run a marathon on two hours of sleep.

George past the desk, mumbling his name and "here to see Alex" as he passed the person there, they nodded and didn't bat an eye at me or Sapnap as we jogged by as well.

If I could tell you my immediate reaction to seeing him without feeling guilty, maybe I'd feel better about our first interaction.

Upon walking through the door to his room the only thought in my mind was 'he's alive'. Not 'he's awake' or 'he's okay' or 'he probably hates us for not being here initially', no. All of those thoughts came after. I can't believe I ever doubted him making it through this, he's Alex. He's invincible, he's funny, he's charismatic, he's charming, he's kind, he's thoughtful, he's alive.

Sooo.. how we feeling? I had to split this one into two parts because I didn't want it to be over 1k words and spoil you all, so sorry it's a tad short. The next one should be longer, but we'll have to see.

I'd also like to apologize again for the technical errors, hopefully I won't have to be winging it for long and technology will be on our side again!

See you guys in the next chapter!
