The Sprain

It was a big day for Darrel, Sally and Alicia. It was the biggest game of the term for the lacrosse team. They could be undefeated in the standings. Darrel and the others wanted Tori to be able to watch the match. They knew they had to speak to Dr. Rivers and Dr. Moore about this because they were in charge of Tori's care.

The girls couldn't all go to the San at once. They had to figure out who would go. Darrel graciously volunteered. She told the others that with her dad in charge of Tori's care that she might be able to convince him to let Tori watch the match. The girls thought that was a good idea. She told them that she would go during break. They then headed to class.

After class, Darrel put her books away in the dorm. She then decided to head to the San to speak with her dad about Tori watching the match in the afternoon.

Once at the San, she peaked through the window. She could see Dr. Moore and her dad in their surgical garments around Tori. Matron was nowhere to be seen, so she felt it was safe to go in. She quietly let herself in the San.

Once in the San, she quietly washed her hands. She then put a masked on to keep Tori safe when she went to speak with her dad. She then quietly walked up to Tori's bed where Dr. Moore and Dr. Rivers were examining Tori.

Once at the bed, Darrel just observed her dad putting Tori's leg braces back on. He nor Dr. Moore noticed Darrel was there. They were too busy concentrating on Tori.

Once Dr. Rivers was done putting Tori's leg braces and left arm brace on, he looked up and noticed Darrel. He asked her what she was doing there. Dr. Moore then saw Darrel as well and asked her the same thing. She told them that she wanted to see if Tori was well enough to go outside. They asked her if there was an event of why she wanted Tori to be allowed outside to see. She told them that there was. She felt her reason was minor, so she needed to find the confidence

Once she thought that her dad would listen and understand where she was coming from, she spoke up. She told them that she wanted Tori to see her play in the lacrosse match that afternoon. Dr. Rivers told her that he understood that she wanted Tori to see her play, but Tori was still too weak to go outside. Darrel told him that she understood. She told Tori that she would visit her later if permitted. Darrel then left the San to get ready for the lacrosse match.

It was time for Darrel to get ready for the lacrosse match. She went to the locker room to change into her uniform.

Once in the changeroom, Darrel saw Alicia and Sally getting ready for the match. They looked up as she walked in. They asked her if Tori was allowed to watch the match. Darrel told them that Tori was still too sick to leave the San, so she couldn't. Sally and Alicia were as disappointed as Darrel was. Darrel then got ready for the match.

Once the girls were in their uniforms, they put their boots on. They then grabbed their sticks and headed onto the field ready to play.

Once the game started, Darrel, Sally and Alicia concentrated on the task at hand. Win the game. The girls managed to score the first goal against their opponent. Darrel was running with the ball towards the opponents goal.

Suddenly, one of the opponents had her foot out. Darrel didn't see it and tripped. The ball went flying Sally caught it in her lacrosse stick. Darrel landed on the ground with a thud. The whistle sounded and stopped the play.

Ms. Pots was the one who blew the whistle and stopped play. She went over to Darrel. She saw that Darrel twisted her ankle when she was tripped. The girl who tripped her would get a penalty for tripping.

The match was paused due to Darrel's injury. Marylou was in the stands and was called to take Darrel to the San. Marylou went on the field. She helped Darrel up and walked her into the school to the San.
