Dr. Moore arrived at the hospital before the ambulance. The doctors and nurses at the emergency department were surprised to see him. They asked him why he was there. He explained that he preformed an emergency operation on his daughter the previous day. He told them that, that morning he noticed her wounds were bleeding and was concerned about her brain. They understood and set up a room to treat her. Dr. Moore had a few nurses help him put on a surgical garment as well. They knew that Tori needed a neurosurgeon and her dad was the only one who could help treat her.

Moments later, the medics arrived with Tori. The room was ready. The doctors and nurses were surrounding the bed. Dr. Moore was at the head. The medics wheeled Tori to the bed. They placed her on the bed.

The team them saw Dr. Rivers. They asked him to put on a surgical garment. One of the nurses offered to assist him. He also saw one of the nurses move Tori's comforts from Tori. She put them in a box for safe keeping. She knew that Tori would want them when she was aware.

When Dr. Rivers had his surgical garment on, he joined the team around Tori's bed. They began their assessment. They checked her vitals. They were relieved that they were stable despite her lethargy. Dr. Moore then had the nurses remove Tori's bandages.

Once the bandages were removed he saw how soaked with blood they were. He was quite concerned. He asked the nurses to clean Tori's wounds. He then looked at them carefully. He wanted to see why they opened. The stitches had broken. The only thing they could do was to stitch up the wounds again. Dr. Rivers offered to do that.

The nurses got the supplies he needed. Dr. Rivers stitched the wounds. He then put clean bandages on her abdominal wounds that were open. The head wound was just stitched up. He suspected Tori had neurological concerns.

Dr. Moore noticed something. He checked Tori's eyes. They didn't react to the light. He wanted an emergency cerebral angiography. He wanted to see if her shunt was functional. Tori was taken for the brain scan.

In the cerebral angiography room, Tori was prepped by the nurse. Dr. Moore was in the adjacent room looking at the images. He knew right away she needed to go to the operating room. He told one nurse to prep Tori for the operation. He told another nurse to tell Dr. Rivers. They did was they were told. He then went to prepare for the operation.

When one of the nurses found Dr. Rivers in the waiting room, she saw the box of Tori's items on his lap. The nurse told Dr. Rivers that Tori was going in for an operation because her intercranial pressure was elevated to an unsafe level. The nurse told Dr. Rivers to go to his office and inform Malory Towers what was going on. He thanked the nurse. He then took the box with him to his office.

Once at his office, Dr. Rivers put the box on his desk. He then called Mrs. Greyling about what was going on. He told Mrs. Greyling that Tori was quite sick and that her intercranial pressure was at an unsafe level. He told her that Dr. Moore was placing a monitor to relieve the pressure. He told her that he gave her permission to inform Darrel. He told her he would call her when Tori was out of the operating room. He then hung up the phone.

Later on at Malory Towers, Darrel was in the dorm. She was still exhausted. Miss Greyling went up to the dorm. She told Darrel that she spoke with her dad from the hospital. She told Darrel that Tori was in the operating room.

When Darrel heard that, she began to cry. She felt bad that Tori was in that situation again. She asked Mrs. Greyling why she was in the operating room. Miss Greyling told her that Dr. Rivers told her that Tori's intracranial pressure was at an unsafe level. Darrel knew that meant Tori would be in the hospital for a few days. She was glad that her comforts were with her. She also hoped that Will was allowed to visit his sister. Darrel thanked Miss Greyling. Miss Greyling told Darrel that she would get a call from Dr. Rivers when Tori's operation was complete. She told Darrel that she would inform her in the morning. She understood it was getting late.
