Malory Towers Break Barriers

The Assembly

When they pulled up to Malory Towers, Dr. Moore saw Miss Greyling there waiting for them. Dr. Rivers and Dr. Moore got out of the car. They greeted her. Dr. Rivers got Tori's comforts. Dr. Moore then took Tori out of the car. He had her in his arms. Tori had Bark in hers. Tori didn't know Miss Greyling was there.

When Tori saw Miss Greyling, she got embarrassed. She was embarrassed because her dad had to carry her. Also that she had one of her comforts with her as well her dog Bark. He noticed she felt embarrassed. He told her that he was carrying her because the affects of the medication she took hadn't wore off yet. She understood. They then headed towards the entrance of the school and Miss Greyling.

Once they got up to the entrance, Miss Greyling told them that she wanted to speak with them. Tori didn't want to, but understood why. They followed Miss Greyling to her study.

Once in her study, Dr. Moore sat on the couch Tori sat down beside him. Dr. Rivers joined them. Miss Greyling then spoke. She said that she understood that they wanted Tori to be able to be with her friends in the dorm. She also acknowledged that both Dr. Rivers and Dr. Moore told her they wanted to test Tori on the stairs to the dorm.

She then addressed that she felt that having an assembly for the girls to help them understand what happened to Tori was extremely important. They agreed that it would hopefully help the girls be more understanding of Tori's condition and how she would act. They asked her when she wanted the assembly to happen. She asked them if they could do it in the coming days. She told them that she wanted to set it up for them she asked them what they needed. She told them that they would get everything ready. They thanked her.

Suddenly, Miss Greyling asked if Tori was able to do the test of walking up the stairs. She told them that the girls were in class so a perfect opportunity to test it safely. Tori told her that she was ready. The last thing she told Dr. Rivers and Dr. Moore that Matron wanted to speak with them as well. They then got up. Tori stood beside her dad. He offered his hand. She took it and they all walked out of Mrs. Greyling's study towards the stairs up to the dorm.

Once they arrived at the stairs of the North tower dorm, Dr. Moore walked Tori to the railing. He told Tori to take it slow. She slowly lifted her left foot first then her right foot. She took one stair at a time. Dr. Moore, Dr. Rivers and Miss Greyling slowly followed behind her. They were making sure she didn't fall backwards on the stairs. Dr. Rivers was pleased the cast was holding up. They were all glad that Tori was doing well. Dr. Moore carried Bark in his arms while Dr. Rivers had her other comforts.

Once they got to the dorm, they saw how tired Tori was. Dr. Moore told Miss Greyling that Tori still had a sedative medication in her system. She understood. She thought it was a good idea for her to rest. She left the dorm.

Tori was now alone with Dr. Rivers and her dad. They helped her to her bed. They sat her on her bed. She took her hat off. Dr. Rivers and her dad put her comforts on her bed. Dr. Rivers told her that he would remove her braces.

Once Dr. Rivers removed her braces, he put them on top on her trunk. He then helped Tori lay on the bed. Her dad then passed her Bark and her doctor bear. He the placed her aviator bear and doll beside her. She lay on top of her blanket. Dr. Moore remembered that she packed a lighter blanket in her trunk. Dr. Rivers moved her braces. Dr. Moore went in her night table to get the key. He opened the trunk. He got a blue blanket out of the trunk. He placed it on the bed. He locked the trunk. He put the key away. Dr. Rivers put her braces back on the trunk. Dr. Moore asked her to get into a comfortable position.

Once she was in a comfortable position on her left side. She cuddled Bark and her doctor bear. Dr. Moore then covered her with the blanket. Her feet were sticking out. He then told her that he and Dr. Rivers would be speaking with Matron. She understood. He added that if she felt that she needed to have a medical check again then not to hesitate to tell them. Dr. Rivers told her to tell them if she needed her diaper changed too. She understood. Her dad kissed her forehead. He and Dr. Rivers left the dorm and headed to the San to speak with Matron.
