Malory Towers Break Barriers

The Critical Situation

After Dr. Rivers returned Darrel to school, he returned to the hospital. He wanted to speak with Dr. Moore about what he thought was going on with Tori. He went to his office to put his jacket away. He then went to Dr. Moore's office to see if he was there.

Once he got to Dr. Moore's office, he knocked on the door. He waited to hear Dr. Moore grant him permission to enter. He hoped that Dr. Moore was there and not still on the Veterans' ward.

Thankfully, Dr. Rivers didn't have to wait long for his answer. He heard Dr. Moore tell him to come in. He opened the door and walked in Dr. Moore's office.

When he walked in, Dr. Moore was pleased to see him. Dr. Moore offered him a seat. He sat down in front of Dr. Moore's desk. Dr. Moore told him that he was extremely concerned that Tori's brain would get injured more of he didn't operate on her. He told Dr. Rivers that he thought the pressure monitor would help, but it hadn't. He told Dr. Rivers that he would have to break the news to Tori that she was going back in the operating room. Dr. Rivers told him that it was extremely important. He told him that he would prepare the special sedative for her as well. He thanked Dr. Rivers. Dr. Rivers then left Dr. Moore's office.

Later on in Tori's room, she woke up crying. Nurse Annie was with her. She went straight to her bedside. She asked Tori what was going on. Tori told her that her headache was intense and that it made her feel very sick which was causing a stomach-ache. She told her that she would speak with Dr. Moore and Dr. Rivers about it.

Before Nurse Annie could even react, the door open. Dr. Moore and Dr. Rivers walked in. they wore their full surgical garments. They went over to the sink to wash their hands and put gloves on. They couldn't be too careful. They then headed to Tori's bed.

Once they were at Tori's bed, they saw how sick Tori looked. They knew they had to act fast. Dr. Rivers told Nurse Annie that they had a stretcher waiting in the hall. He also told her that he had a sedative to help Tori. Tori looked scared. She was worried that it meant she was returning to the operating room.

Dr. Moore then looked at Tori. He saw how scared and sick she looked. He told her in a gentle voice that she was in danger if he didn't operate. He told her that there was something wrong with her brain and that was why her intracranial pressure wasn't going back to a safe level. Dr. Rivers then went to get the stretcher. Dr. Moore then began to detach the pressure monitor from the machine.

Once Dr. Rivers returned with the stretcher, he had it ready for Tori. The pressure monitor was detached from the machine. Dr. Moore told her that she could bring 2 comforts with her. She chose her doctor bear and Bark. Dr. Moore then gentle transferred Tori to the stretcher.

Once Tori was on the stretcher, Dr. Moore told her that he had to prepare for her operation. He pulled his mask down and kissed Tori on the forehead. He then left the room.

When Dr. Moore was gone, Dr. Rivers wanted to talk to Tori. He told her that he had the special sedative to help calm her. He told her that a nurse would be taking her to the operating room after the sedative took affect. He told her that her dad asked him to speak with Will. She then asked if Will was allowed to see her after her operation. He told her that Will was allowed. She was relieved. He told her that he would inject the sedative into her IV. He told her that it wouldn't hurt. He then injected the sedative into her IV and waited for it to take effect.

Once the sedative told affect, Dr. Rivers asked Nurse Annie to see if the nurse was there. She walked to the door. She saw the surgical nurse she told her that Tori was ready to be taken. The surgical nurse walked in and then took Tori out of the room.

Once Tori was gone, Dr. Rivers decided to go to the Veterans' ward to speak with Will. He knew Will would be upset after what he saw. He removed his gloves. He then removed his surgical garment and put in the laundry hamper. He then headed to the Veterans' Ward.
