While Darrel tried to rest, Dr. Rivers and Dr. Moore continued to operate on Tori. The broken shunt was removed. Dr. Moore made sure there was no abstructions before he inserted the new shunt in the same area as the old one was. Dr. Rivers kept the incision open to help thread the shunt tube down to Tori's abdomen. They made sure the shunt was functioning before they closed the incision on her head and abdomen. Dr. Moore then wrapped Tori's head in a bandage. Dr. Rivers put a bandage on her abdomen over the incision he made.

Once the bandages were on, Tori was woken up & moved to clean bed that was also behind the privacy partition. They let her wake. They cleaned up their things. They then emerged from the privacy partition. They lowered their masks. They then walked into Matron's office to speak to her about Tori.

Once they entered Matron's office, they saw her writing in Darrel's file. They then got her attention. She then saw them. They let her know that Tori's emergency operation was complete and Tori was resting. Matron then told Dr. Rivers that Darrel was unwell while he assisted Dr. Moore. He asked her what it was. She told him that Darrel was complaining of abdominal pain and that she felt sick. He mentioned that he saw Darrel resting, but noticed the pain she was in. He let Matron know he would examine Darrel right away. Matron mentioned that Darrel had a high temperature as well. Both Dr. Moore and D. Rivers left Matron's office.

Once Dr. Moore and Dr. Rivers left Matron's office, they went to Darrel's bed. Dr. Rivers needed to see what was wrong with Darrel. Dr. Moore wanted to just let Darrel know Tori's operation was over. He knew Darrel was worried about Tori.

Once at Darrel's bed, Dr. Rivers got a stool and sat down beside the bed. Dr. Moore saw Tori's bears and doll on Darrel's bed. He smiled when he noticed Tori's doll wearing a surgical garment. He thought to himself that he was proud of Darrel for knowing what Tori needed. He took them from the bed. He then put his mask up and went behind the privacy partition with them in his arms.

Dr. Rivers was alone with his daughter with Matron close by if needed. He gently shook her to wake her.

When Darrel woke up, she was shocked, yet not shocked to see her dad at her bedside. Dr. Rivers had his mask up. He told her that Matron let him know that she was unwell. He told her that he thought he missed doing a thorough examination on her when she first came in with her left ankle sprain. He then told her that he was going to ask her a few questions about the tripping incident during the lacrosse match.

He started asked Darrel questions about the tripping incident. He asked her first if she landed on her abdomen when she was tripped. She told him that she did. She told him that she landed on her right side of her tummy when her left ankle twisted when she was tripped.. He then asked her when she started feeling sick. He told her that she didn't look sick when he did his initial examination. She told him she didn't feel sick initially when she came to the San just sore from her ankle. She told him that she started feeling sick while he was assisting Dr. Moore with Tori's operation. He asked her if it was because she heard what was going on with Tori. She told him that hearing the operation didn't bother her at all. He was relieved that it wasn't that, but concerned it was something more serious. He concluded that was her sickness was related to her tripping incident during the lacrosse match. He told her that he was going to examine her. She understood.

Just as Dr. Rivers was going to examine Darrel, he heard Tori crying. He thought that Tori must have woken from the anaesthesia confused and scared. He could hear Dr. Moore trying to console her. Darrel asked if Tori was okay because she too heard the crying. She told him that she hoped that changing Tori's doll in the surgical garment wasn't the right idea. He told her that he knew she had a good heart and that she meant well. He reminded Darrel that Tori was in good hands and that Dr. Moore would know how to help calm Tori down. He then told her that it was time to examine her and figure out why she was feeling sick.
