It's been a few days since Tori was in the hospital. There was still so much to do. She had to study for her final exam. She missed time to study while she was in hospital. She had to start packing. She knew she would be heading straight back to the hospital on the final day of school.

Tori then got caught up with what she missed with Pamela. Tori knew that Pamela was graduating, so she would have a new girl helping her in the second form. She hoped that the new girl was as kind and understanding as Pamela. Pamela also helped Darrel with studying as well. Tori helped Darrel with the things she struggled with. Like English. Tori was good at it.

With the final exam almost here, Miss Greyling thought she needed to have a talk with Tori privately. She walked up to the common room where Tori and Darrel were studying with Pamela. She knocked on the door.

While the girls were studying, they heard a knock at the door. Pamela went over to open it. She opened it to see Mriss Greyling.

When the girls saw Mrs. Greyling, they were nervous that they did something wrong. Pamela asked Miss Greyling why she was there. She told Pamela that she needed to speak with Tori in her study. Pamela went over to Tori and wheeled her to Mrs. Greyling . She told Tori that Darrel would bring her books up to the dorm. Miss Greyling then took Tori's wheelchair and wheeled her out of the room to her study.

Once in Miss Greyling's study, Mrs. Greyling parked Tori's wheelchair in front of her desk. She then sat at her desk. She told Tori right off the bat that she wasn't in any kind of trouble. Tori was relieved. She still wondered why Mrs. Greyling needed to speak with her.

Tori didn't have to wait long to find out. Miss Greyling told Tori that she wanted to speak to her about her education and final exam. She told Tori that she knew that Tori had a rough term due to her medical circumstances. She reminded Tori that she had done well keeping up with her studies despite her setbacks. She told her that she wouldn't keep her in the first form even with the results of her final to come. She told her that she saw the perseverance Tori had to do the best she could with the circumstances she was dealt.

The other thing Miss Greyling wanted to speak to her about was the accommodations she would have for her final exam. Tori understood. She told Tori that she would take her exam in the room she did remedial in. She continued to tell Tori that she would have Pamela in the room with her to write her exam. Miss Greyling explained that Pamela was there to clarify any questions on the exam that Tori didn't understand. Tori understood. Miss Greyling told her that she would be given extra time to complete the exam because she understood it took Tori longer to write due to her polio.

Tori thanked her for her understanding of her situation and accommodating her accordingly. She reminded Miss Greyling that other schools wouldn't do that for her. Miss Greyling told her that each girl had potential and a purpose. She told Tori that she saw her potential and purpose. She reminded Tori that her polio and hydrocephalus were only a part of her and not all of her.

She then told her that she understood that at the beginning of the next term that Tori would still be recovering from her important operations. She told Tori that Dr. Rivers already spoke with her about next term. Tori was relieved she would be accommodated for her final exam and whatever the important operations would entail as well.

Days after Miss Greylings talk, Tori was studying alone in the dorm. She was focused on her math and science. She wasn't great at those subjects like she was in History and English. She had to ask Pamela to clarify the things she was having difficulty understanding before the exam of course. She didn't want that to cause her to fail that part of the exam and that was the reason she wouldn't join her friends in the second form next term. That very thought made her want to cry.
