Chapter 27

"Do you want anything, Señorita?" Hakob asked.

Nakatayo ito sa gilid niya habang siya ay nakaupo sa malambot na upuan habang nasa hardin sila. She's chilling under the shaded tree. Pinaypayan naman siya ng binata ng malaking pamaypay sa malamyos na paraan.

"Pick a flowers for me." She command while looking at the bed of flowers on a wide hectare land.

"On it." Agad na sagot nito at umalis.

She just watch Hakob roam around the garden to pick her some flowers. After a while he jogged towards her direction. His forehead glistened with sweat but he's still gorgeous as ever.

"Here, Señorita..." He said and handed her the flower.

Her brows furrowed in confusion while holding the flower.

"Purple lilac?" Tanong niya sabay angat ng tingin dito.

He smiled a little.

"It represents purity and innocence, beginning of love or first live." He answered.

Her heart beat accelerated.

"F-first love?"

Is this a freaking confession?! Oh my gosh, is she pretty right now? Is her hair okay? Wait! Why so sudden?! Hindi siya prepared, hindi niya alam ang i-rereact.

Hakob licked his lips then nodded.

"First love, Señorita." Pag-uulit nito.

Oh my gosh... Hes not telling he directly he loves her but it's the same thing right? He mentioned first love after he gave her flowers. Alangan naman na si Nikki ang first live nito na siya naman ang binigyan?

Tumikhim siya pata itago ang pamumula, pinataray niya ang itsura.

"I-innocence and purity, huh? Do you think I forgot that you pretended to be a bodyguard when all those times I thought you're just there because---"

He stopped her by claiming her lips. He really bow down to met hers. Napasinghap naman siya sa ginawa nito. Mas lalong bumilis ang tibok ng puso niya.

Hakob slowly pull away. Nagkatinginan sila.

"You're really such an overthinker, Señorita." He whispered.

Napalunok siya at tumitig dito.

"W-why? I'm not mali naman, 'di ba? You lied---"

"I didn't. Never did I. I can't, I shouldn't, and I won't." Mariing saad ng binata.

Napaawang ang labi niya habang nakatitig sa nakakunot na noo na binata. He really looks so hot when he's mad.

"R-really..." Wala sa sariling usal niya.

Tumango ito.

"May isang tauhan na pinadala ang ama mo, I negotiate with your father through that man. Na ako na lang ang magbabantay sa 'yo. I can do it alone, I don't share what's my responsibility on you, Señorita. Ayaw kong may ibang nakabuntot sa 'yo at magbabantay. Trabaho ko 'yon." Seryosong paliwanag ng binata.

"So, I'm just a job?" Tanong niya tuliro pa rin.

Mas lalong kumunot ang noo nito.

"I really hate how your mind works, Señorita. Let's work on that."

"Ha?"

"I did that because I like you. You don't understand how much I wanna serve you, Señorita. As your man, its my responsibility to protect you at all cost." He said.

Halos hindi na niya marinig ang sinabi nito dahil sa lakas ng tibok ng puso niya. She's afraid Hakob might hear it and at the same time she wants him to hear what's his effevt on her.

"Pinoprotektahan mo lang ako?"

Napabuga ito ng hangin at mahinang pinitik ang noo niya. Napangiwi siya.

"I really wanna kiss you if you talk nonsense." He whispered to himself.

Pinigil niyang mangiti.

"So, you're not just doing it for a job but because you really really really like me?" Nakangiting pangungulit niya.

Hakob rolled his eyes and groaned. Nagsisimula na naman kasi siya sa pagiging makulit.

"Oo nga, Chim."

"Sige nga, kiss mo 'ko." Sabi niya sabay nguso.

"Chim!" Saway nito.

Her laughter roared in the garden. Pulang-pula ang pisngi ng binata habang masamang nakatingin sa kanya.

She tapped the chair beside her.

"Sit beside me, Elias. I miss you." Paglalambing niya rito.

"We've been together for days, Señorita." He said in a matter of fact but still sat beside her on a long sofa.

"But still. It's different because I was galit with you the last few days because I thought you're just nagpapanggap." Nakangusong pag-amin niya.

"Hmm?" He hummed and fixed her hair that was blown by the wind.

"Yes! I was so heartbroken because you're my first love but it hurts to think that it was fake. I did cry, Hakob!" She burst into him.

Pumungay ang mata ng binatang nakatitig sa kanya. Somehow, she calm down on his gentle stares.

"I'm sorry. I should have tell you the truth."

Napalabi siya.

"And about being a Benjamin, too! You have no idea how much everynight way back in Pinas I have nightmare that I'll be Cya Ferdinand-Betlogan. I hate you, Hakob!"

Hakob chuckled and pull her closer. Pinatakan nito ng halik ang labi niya kaya agad siyang napapikit at tumugon na rin dahil marupok siya.

"Your daughter is here?" An unfamiliar voice can be heared in the background.

Her eyes widen and immediately pull away. Umayos siya ng pagkakaupo habang si Hakob ay napangisi na pang sa pagkataranta niya. He doesn't even seem nervous at all!

Mula sa glass door, lumabas si Henry Cali kasama ang bisita nito. Magkatabi lang sila ng binata at magkahawak ang kamay---magkahawak ang kamay! Since when are they holding each other's hands?! But it feels nice, tho. But her fake father was here. Its kinda nervous but he seems unbothered.

"Here she is, together with her...fiancé." Henry Cali said while intently looking at the both of them.

Napalunok siya sa kaba. Lalo na't papalapit ang dalawa.

"Hello, Cyra. I'm your father's big client and he's kind enough to show me his house." Nakangiting bati ng babaeng nasa singkwenta na pataas.

"Nice to meet you, Ma'am." Magalang na bati niya at nakipagkamay dito.

Napalingon ito sa tabi niya. Kumislap ang mata.

"A Benjamin!" The woman exclaimed.

"Yes, uh, her fiancé." Nag-aalangang sagot ng kinikilala niyang ama.

"Oh, good news! I didn't regret investing im Cali Inc., huh? When they both got married Cali And Benjamin will join force and there's no other company will be bigger than yours. You will be the most powerful." Papuri ng bisita nito.

Napangisi ang ama niya.

"Right. And  there's no more other pests who would dare to try to ruin us." Nakangising saad ng ama.

W-what? No... If that happens, mawawala muli ang kompanya ng ama niya o kahit na kaninong kompanya. Even Chloe's company or ay other company, they'll all vanished.

No...

"But Cyra is a Ferdinand, right?" Maingat na tanong ng babae.

Nakita niyang sumeryoso ang mukha ng ama at maanigan ng galit ang mga mata nito.

"I'll change her surname into Cali very soon." Her fake father declared and look at her.

Her blood drained on her face. Napayuko siya.

Hindi pwede. If the merging will happen, mawawala ang companya ng ama niya, and if her name turns into Cali, mas lalong mapapalayo sila ng ama.

She have to find a way. Kailangang pabagsakin ang Cali Inc.
