Nanatili silang dalawa ni Xian sa katabing pasilyo ng mga bookshelf. Xian put his palm on her mouth to avoid her from making noise.
"Thanks." Tipid na saad ni Hakob.
Sumilip siya sa pagitan ng mga libro. And there she saw Gretta trapping Hakob there. Nakasandal si Hakob sa dingding habang isang hakbang naman ang layo nito kay Gretta.
"Do you like me, too? I'm better that Cyra, Hakob. I'm more mature than her! I'm kind and she's not. It's ridiculous if you choose her over me."
Kumunot ang noo niya at akmang susugod pero pinigilan siya ni Xian. That bitch! She trusted her and that's what she get? Pilit niyang huwag pagselosan ito pero karapat-dapat lang pala! Snake!
Hakob's lips form into grim line.
"You don't have to compare yourself and belittle Cyra. You don't have to pull down someone just for you to go up." Malamig na saad ni Hakob.

"S-sorry..." Gretta apologize immediately, regret is evident on her voice.
"I'm not Cyra for you to apologize." Pambabasag pa rin ni Hakob.
"I-I'll apologize to her but can we still be friends? Please?" Pagmamakaawa ni Gretta.
"We're not friends, Gretta. I'm nice to you because you're Cyra's friend."
"Y-you're so mean, Hakob.." Nanginig ang boses ni Gretta, paiyak na.
Napairap siya. She knew very much that it's just an act to get Hakob. Malay ba kung mahalata rin 'yon ni Hakob.
"I just wanna be friends with you, I'm nice to you, Hakob. Why can't we be friends?" Pamimilit pa rin ni Gretta.
Hindi umimik si Hakob.
"But I still like you, and I still wanna be with you." Matapang na saad ni Gretta.
Umalis si Gretta kaya humakbang na rin paalis si Hakob. Saktong lumiko si Hakob at makadaan sa pasilyo nila ay bigla na lang siyang sinandal ni Xian sa bookshelf at nilapit ang mukha nito sa kanya.
Her eyes widen in shock.
"Xi---"
"Bastard." Hakob muttered with rage and punch Xian making Xian sat on the floor.
"Hakob!" Mahinang saway niya at agad na nilapitan si Xian.
May sugat ito sa gilid ng labi pero nanatiling nakangisi.
"Why is he mad? Is he your boyfriend or something?" Nakangising tanong ni Xian at tumayo. Tinapatan si Hakob.
Halos magkasingtangkad lang ang dalawa. But Hakob is much more mascular, she used to see his innocent and soft face but right now mas nagmumukha itong Kuya nito. He looks mad, fierce and dangerous.
"Xian, stop it." She hissed and pull Xian dahil baka masuntukan ito ni Hakob.
Pero hindi pa sila tuluyang nakaalis ay hinila siya ni Hakob sa braso.
"Where are you going?" Mariing tanong nito at walang balak na pakawalan ang braso niya. Ganoon rin siya sa pagkakahawak kay Xian.
"Why are you questioning us? Did Cyra questioned you when you left with Gretta earlier?" Xian asked and pull her arms away from Hakob's hold.
Wala na siyang nagawa kung hindi ang magpahila kay Xian.
"HOW'S Hakob?" Kuya Hendrix asked when she went to see him.
"He's fine. He's still kind." Sagot niya at binuklat ang magazine sa center table ng opisina nito.
"Kind?" Hendrix wasn't sure if he's going to laugh on that word.
Nagtatakang bumaling siya dito. Why does he find ridiculous on what she said. Totoo namang mabait si Hakob, ah?
"Yes. Hakob is patient, kind, mature...and pure."
Humalakhak si Hendrix at napainom sa kape nito. Aliw na aliw ang mga mata nito.
"Heilan is the only innocent and pure in our generation, Cyra. We treat Hakob as a baby because we want him to be one."
Naguguluhang tumingin siya dito. What does he mean? That Hakob is not the one she knew he is? But Hakob doesn't seem to be pretending, he's genuine.
"Cyra, Benjamins and the word kind can't be together. If fourth generation is light red flag, then the second generation is the dark red. The second generation guide him as he grow, he's with second generation for a long time... he's not with the second generation for nothing."
Humugot siya ng hangin at pilit na inaabsurb ang sinabi nito but she can't. Hindi niya kaya. Hindi niya kayang paniwalaan. Hakob has been good to her and didn't give her a reason to think bad about him, well, except with Gretta but Hakob is almost perfect.
"It's up to you if you believe it or not." Pagkibit balikat ni Hendrix.
Kasabay 'non ang pagbukas ng pinto sa opisina ni Hendrix. Napatayo siya ng makita si Xyril. Nanlilisik na ang mata nito at handa na siyang sugurin.
"You bitch!"
Napaatras siya ng lumapit ito sa kanya. She immediately block her hand when Xyril tried to hit her.
"You're trying to get Hendrix, too? He's mine! He's mine!" Pagwawala nito.
Agad na lumapit si Hendrix sa kanila at pinaghiwalay sila. Xyril was screaming, lalo na't hinawakan na ito sa magkabilang braso ng mga tauhan ng Cali.
"You bitch! You're a snake!"
"Calm down, Cali! You don't know what you're talking about." Malamig na banta ni Kuya Hendrix na itinago siya sa likod nito.
"Now you're siding her?!"
"Stop being childish, brat!" Singhal ni Kuya Hendrix kay Xyril dahilan para mapatigil ang babae at namula ang pisngi sa pagpapakahiya.
Nagpumiglas ito sa hawak ng mga tauhan at nagmartsa paalis. Sinundan niya ito ng tingin at saktong nakita niya si Hakob na nasa pintuan at mukhang kanina pa ito simula ng gulo. Binangga ito ni Xyril sa balikat pero hindi natinag si Hakob dahilan para mapaupo si Xyril sa lapag. Malakas itong napamura, tumayo at nagmartsa paalis.
"What are you doing here on Kuya's office?" Nagdududang tanong ni Hakob sa kanya.
Why? Doubting her like Xyril does? Mukha ba siyang babae ni Kuya Hendrix?
"I should be the one asking you that, Hakob. What brings you here?" Si Kuya Hendrix na mismo ang sumagit at muling tumungo ito sa swivel chair nito.
Kinalma niya ang sarili at umupo ulit sa sofa. Si Hakob naman ay napahakbang papasok at nilibot ang tingin sa opisina ni Kuya Hendrix.
"I'm your cousin. Why am I not allowed to be here?" Hakob asked forgetting his goody-goody mask and asked rudely to Kuya Hendrix.
"If you're jealous, you don't have to be jealous." Pangunguna ni Kuya Hendrix dito.
Pati rin si Kuya Hendrix nanghihinala rin itong nangseselos si Hakob. But it seems Hakob won't calm down.
"You don't decide if I want to ve jealous or not---"
"Nor you to invalidate Cyra's feelings. She was jealous towards Gretta, too and it's now her turn to tell you that you don't have to be jealous and be an asshole towards any men who's kind to her." Hendrix fired.
Natahimik si Hakob, tumiim ang bagang.
Lihim siyang napangisi. Hendrix Benjamim as her lawyer ain't bad at all.
