"For you." Adi uttered and put a chocolate drink on my table. Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kanya at saka nagpasalamat. Days had passed, first sem of Grade 11 ended. Wala akong ibang ginawa kun'di ang mag-aral at mag-training sa swimming team. It was 2nd week of November, nasa school kami para sa training dahil unang week ng December ang competition namin. Shana and I both made it to female swimming inter-university competition. We're now advancing to preliminaries. If we'll make it, we are going to advance in semis. That was close to Nationals.
Pau and I on the other hand are doing date every weekend because he was busy as I am. Despite that, he never fails to update me with everything.
"Gosh, I think I might die!" Shana yelled and lie on the couch. We just finished our today's training schedule, so we have time to study. Although we can already leave, I decided to stay here because I am still waiting for Pau. We decided to study together today but he has plans so I had to be considerate with him. I ain't getting mad because that was studies. Even we are dating, we have to set our priorities.
I was busy reading my book when I saw the screen of my phone lit up. I immediately get it from the table and check for a message. I was right that it was from Paulo saying he's already in front of the gate.
"I have to go." Paalam ko kina Shana, Bentley, Oliver at Adi habang busy ako sa pag-aayos ng gamit ko. I didn't even have the time to look at them.
"You're always rushing to head home lately. Don't tell me you have a boyfriend right now?" Shana asked and seated straight. Para siyang nabuhayan bigla. Hindi ko siya pinansin at nagkunwaring hindi nakikinig sa tanong niya. She didn't have the time to study but she still had her time to gossip about my life.
"See you tomorrow!" Paalam ko sa kanilang lahat at saka nagmadaling maglakad palabas. Hindi na ako naghintay sumagot sila. Shana grunted Obviously annoyed that I left her question hanging.
I was on the middle of walking when someone called my name from behind. "Joerrelle!" Kaagad akong lumingon. There, I saw Adi rushing towards me carrying his bag on his right shoulder. "I can drive you home." He offered. Tipid akong ngumiti to say that I didn't like the idea.
"Sorry but I have plans." Sagot ko at saka tumalikod para dumiretso sa paglalakad. I heard people whispering about what I did but I didn't even take a glance. If they don't like it, I can't do anything about that.
"I insist." Pangungulit niya pa sa akin.
I smiled genuinely and shook my head. "Someone's waiting for me." Sagot ko at saka muling tumalikod pero hinawakan niya ang braso ko nang mahigpit at saka ako hinila paharap sa kanya.
"Do you have someone right now?" Tanong niya sa akin. I don't want to be rude, but he sounds like a clingy boyfriend right now. Ready na akong magsabi ng totoo nang may biglang umakbay sa akin. I automatically turned my gaze towards that someone.
"Stop harassing my sister." Nagbabantang saad ni Kuya Dave at saka ako hinila palayo. Mukha namang hindi na sumunod pa si Adi.
