"Last question Doc..." Ngiting asong saad ng isang reporter sa akin. "Are you still single?" Tanong niya na nagpaingay sa mga manonood. Most of them were saying no. Ngumiti lang ako saka nagpaalam. I did not answer.

"Felip is confirmed to be in a relationship!" I smiled when I heard the chatter from the side while I was walking on the pathway heading to my office. Finally, after years, they have finally let themselves out. But despite the happiness for the two of them, I couldn't help but to entertain the thoughts that I have in the back of my mind. Kung naghintay ba ako sa kanya, masaya na rin kaya kami ngayon?

Silly me. Of course not, Felip and us has different situations. If people could easily accept them, not us.

Yup. Three years had passed just like that. After Pau stopped me from going away that night, the thoughts that are bugging me didn't stop... because we both know that we were afraid to talk it out. We left the questions hanging. We did not clarify things out... we did not do anything to solve the problem. In the end, we still ended up getting separated.

We were now annulled. Of course, in the first place, we aren't really married legally. There's no marriage contract existed because it was already void from the start. The trial became fast.. With the help of money, we successfully processed it within two weeks then mom and I flew here in USA to get her treatment. However... mom didn't made it. She passed away almost two years ago. Despite that, we don't have any regrets... because we both know we did our very best to work it out. I stick with her during those days... while I am busy with my residency. I was happy because she died happy and contented as well. Wherever she is, I know she ain't suffering anymore.

"You're now going to go back in Philippines?" My assistant asked as I was busy packing my important documents later that day. After three years, ngayon lang ulit ako makakatapak sa Pilipinas. I volunteered... to help those people who do not afford visiting doctors.

"You're going back here, right?" I smiled with the question. Hindi ko alam... Before mom died, she successfully established a hospital for people who cannot afford medical services. Low fees for doctors... low fees for the hospital itself... but with a high quality help. It was supported with a biotech company that she's running for years now and some branches of hospital in lots of countries which includes Philippines. It was named after me. JY Medical Center.

"You love charity works a lot." She commented. Ngumiti lang ako bago lumabas ng office.

I wasn't expecting anything before I came here. I thought, mom's just a shareholder for different companies and earning using those... but I was wrong because when we arrived here in states, there's a lot of people waiting for us. She owns the biggest biotech company and lots of hospitals.

When she died, she left almost everything under my name so I was supposedly the CEO. But I know for a fact that I couldn't handle it. So as of today, it was mom's secretary who's working with everything. Right, some of mom's shares were left with him. And the other remaining were donated.

"Welcome home!" Sabay-sabay na bati ng mga kapatid ko nang makita nila akong naglalakad sa exit ng airport when I arrived in Manila. My niece and nephew's were also holding banners. Napangiti ako. When the news broke out, about me being adopted, I did not make any correction statement. It was better that way. Dad's family wouldn't be involved. But I was more than shocked when they called for a press conference and admitted to everyone what is my position to the family.

Kuya Dave's mad. Ashley's really mad. But after couple of months, we eventually made up and here we are now. Closer than ever.

"Where are you going to stay?" Dad asked while we are on the dinner table that day. They prepared an extravagant meal for their bunso. Well, bunsong anak because we have lots of kids now.
