I came up with this on a whim while walking to school, and honestly wrote it mostly for myself.

But... you're still scared.

You've been going to a school full of Giants for months. You've become friends with a few of them, you know for a fact that none of them will kill you, so...

Why are you still scared...?

You shouldn't be.

You don't want to be.

You want to live a life where you don't have to be scared of them.

Yesterday, Kirishima told you something.

"Sorry, (Y/N), I can't pick you up tomorrow... I don't feel too great. I'll be staying home tomorrow, maybe the rest of the week, honestly. I... think I have some kind of fever..."

So today, you're going to school on your own. You're going to be making your way to school completely on you own.

This is your perfect chance! Maybe, if you go to school on your own and don't rely on Kirishima, maybe it'll help you get over your fear!

"Hey auntie, did you get a lunch ready for me?" You asked, as you put on the blazer part of your uniform.

"Hm? Oh, no I didn't. I thought your Giant friend shared his food with you?"

"He does, but yesterday he told me he had a bad fever, and that he'd be staying home today and the rest of the week too." You explained. "And the cafeteria workers refuse to serve me, since it'd be impossible to get a serving my size. And... I don't want yo ask any of my other friends for their food..."

"Oh dear... I hope he feels better..." Your aunt said, sympathetically. "That Kirishima boy is such a good friend, at least from what you've told me. It'd be nice to meet him, someday."

"So... can you pack a lunch for me?"

"I actually have a better idea." Your aunt handed you some money. "Get yourself something you like! Some pizza, maybe?"

"Aw, thanks! I'll pay you back later, auntie!" You put your backpack, and got your shoes on, you were all ready for the day!

"(Y/N)! Stay safe today, alright?"

"I will!"

And with that, you set off.

You bought yourself a lunch, and headed off to school.

You knew there was no way you would make it on time if you walked, so you took your bike! Sure, it was probably more dangerous than walking, but the important thing was getting to school on time!

And you did. You made it to school on time... but then another problem arose...

Your locker. It was not meant for a Human. The lock is way to far up for you to reach.
