"Have you ever heard of a werewolf?" Katsuki asked you as the two of you walked together under the moonlight.

"Yeah, I've heard news of them appearing in the forest recently..." You responded. "Makes me feel a bit nervous about being out at night, honestly."

"I've been looking into them. Aparently they aren't completely monsters, they're actually humans who were somehow turned part wolf." Katsuki explained. "After the transformation, though, they seem to lose most if not all of their memories from when they were human. They become nothing but mindless beasts."

You two arrived at Katsuki's house, and he let you inside.

"So, uh, why're you telling me all this?" You asked him.

"Just making conversation."

"On nights like these, nights with a full moon, werewolves take their true form. A wolf the size of a human that stands on its hind legs. And it's said that, when in their true form... a werewolf's bite has the power to transform a human into one of them." Katsuki explained.

"Really?" You asked. "Can you turn someone back after they've been transformed?"

"I don't know. But I'm determined to find a way." He told you, looking away. "Because someone I know was turned... and he's counting on me to find a cure."

"So, why'd you invite me to your place? We don't know each other very well... and with all this talk of werewolves I'm honestly starting to get worried that you're gonna kill me."

"Why would I do that?" Katsuki asked. "I just need some human blood. I'd use my own, but I don't want to feel light-headed while handling a gun... that just all around doesn't seem like a good idea." He explained. "And before you ask about the gun, I hunt for werewolves on nights with full moons. You know, to hopefully prevent them from multiplying."

"Oh, a-alright..."

Katsuki used a syringe and carefully drew some of your blood.

"Thanks for helping me with this, (Y/N)."

"Yeah, no problem!" You said. "I mean, it's for a good reason, right?"

"...yeah." He looked away from you.

There was a long silence between you.

"So, (Y/N), like I said... I'm trying to find a cure for somebody I know who was turned." Katsuki told you, pulling you up from your seat. "And, since I'm trying to find a way to cure him... that means I need to keep him alive."

"Well, yeah, I... I guess it would be hard to cure him if he was dead..." You nervously said, as Katsuki opened a door.

"And, of course, keeping him alive means keeping him well-fed~" He smirked.

Katsuki shoved you in the doorway, and you fell down the basement stairs.

Your head hit the hard concrete floor.

"Don't worry too much, (Y/N)!" Katsuki yelled down to you. "It'll be excruciatingly painful, but I think you'll die rather quick! And thanks for your sacrifice, I promise it won't be for nothing."

Then, the door slammed shut, and you heard the sound of it being locked.

"If I'm gonna die anyways, I might as well get it over with as soon as possible." You said to yourself, getting up from the floor.

You didn't have to search for long to find it.

The basement was dark, but you were still able to see the werewolf clearly. It wasn't taking the 'true form' Katsuki mentioned, instead, it looked like a normal human with wolf ears and a tail the colour of its hair. It was cowering in the corner of the room.

"Hey, um... what are you doing?" You asked.

"Can't let it touch me-!" He yelled out, pointing towards the middle of the room. "The moonlight hurts my skin... it makes me feel like I'm being torn in two... and then I lose all control of myself! So no matter what, I can't let it touch me! I don't want to fully transform... I don't want to hurt anyone..."

It was pointing towards a faint beam moonlight shining in through the small basement window.

"Are you a werewolf?" You asked.

"Y-yes, I am..." He responded, sounding like he was on the verge of tears. "And... you're a human, right...? You smell like one, at least..." He asked you. "I... I think... I was human... at some point." He started sounding less scared. "My memory's... really fuzzy. I can't remember much of anything from before a month ago..."

"I haven't eaten in days..." He told you. "Say, human... could you please come closer...?"

"No."

"Eh, it was worth a shot." He shrugged. "Hey human, if you want to keep yourself safe... you know, in case I end up losing control, um... the laundry room over there... the door locks from the inside. I don't want to hurt you, but... I'm starving... so I can't confirm your safety if you stay in this room with me."

"Yeah, that's probably a good idea." You said. "Hey, what's your name?"

"My name...?" He asked. "I... I don't remember. That blonde man upstairs calls me Deku, so I guess you can call me that too." He told you. "And what's your name, human?"

"Ah, it's (Y/N)."

The rest of the night, you kept yourself safe in the laundry room.

Over the next few nights, you and Deku would talk with each other. Not much else to do in a basement alone.

Deku enjoyed his time with you. He felt like he remembered who he was when he was with you.

He loved you.

"(Y/N)... I don't want you to leave me. I don't want you to ever leave me."

He bit into your shoulder.

"I would never turn you into a werewolf. I don't want you to go through any of this. (Y/N), please stay with me... I promise I won't kill you, I won't even think about killing you..."

"Promise that you'll never leave me."
