Still unbelieving that the two of you are still married, or were married at all, the group attempts to collect enough evidence to prove their theories. Inevitably, you and Viper find out.

After the incident in your office and talking to Omen; Jett, Phoenix, Raze, and Killjoy were left skeptical. Every time one of them claimed to have seen Viper do anything close to romantic, it was quickly denied and declared impossible by the others.

"There is no way that happened, you are such a bad liar!" Killjoy exclaimed after Phoenix told her how he had literally seen both you and Viper hug for at least a whole minute. "Where is your proof?"

"What am I supposed to do? Take a video?" Phoenix asks exasperated.

"Uh yeah, what else? You are hopeless at this."

It gets bad enough that they debate getting Cypher involved. He keeps tabs on every member of the VP, he has to have some sort of access to the security footage that can prove one of them right once and for all. Jett talks them all out of it for now, the voice of reason in the whole project. That project being: "operation: find proof that Viper is still capable of love and actually still married to y/n". A long-winded and complicated name that was a group effort between Phoenix and Killjoy.

You only started to notice how odd all of them were acting about a week and a half into their "operation".

"Y/n, I've been meaning to talk to you!" Killjoy walks up to you with Raze in tow.

"What is it, Klara? I have a meeting with Viper shortly and I would rather not be late." The two of them looked giddy about something as you stared at them waiting.

"Have you ever gotten flowers or anything? You know, like, romantic flowers?" Raze asks.

What an oddly specific question.

"Yes, I have. Is that all that you had to ask me?" The two of them look like they're debating asking something else.

"No, that's all. We were just curious." Killjoy explains.

"Have you gotten them... recently?" Raze asks tentatively. You stare at her in confusion.

"No? Why?" You briefly wonder if you've forgotten any special occasions that would have warranted flowers, but there are none. You've always avoided flowers most of the time, given Sabine's allergies to pollen; a fact you always found just a little bit comical given her work with poisons.

You don't dwell on their strange disappointment in your answer as you turn and continue towards your meeting. A lunch meeting, of course, which in reality meant it was just a lunch date with Sabine. You tell her about Killjoy and Raze, and she seems just as confused as you are. The two of you brush it off as their usual nonsense, and with a kiss goodbye, the two of you are back to work at your respective areas of the VP.

The nonsense doesn't stop with Killjoy and Raze, however.

This time, it's Jett and Phoenix working together. They're in your office again, but it's fine this time because you're there. They stand near the door, staring at you before you finally look up at them expectantly.

"Can I help either of you with something?" You ask, unsure of why every time these two arrive in your office they seem to wait for you to speak up first. You can't be that intimidating, can you?
