"Lin might just become Tim Burton's new best friend," Vanessa said, rolling her eyes. "He's been out there with him for over an hour."

I laughed. That was Lin-Manuel; when he was around someone he really enjoyed talking to, he would spend hours talking with them. Then he would tell me everything about that person. Their likes, their dislikes. He could probably write a whole Broadway musical on whomever he was interested in and make it relatable. That was his art. His gift.
I had met his wife, Vanessa, shortly after they had started dating. We were so much alike. We both studied law and science. And were enthusiastic about film and music. Though she went on to become a brilliant scientist and a law professor.
Lin-Manuel and Vanessa were my best friends, and I was excited that they had taken their time to visit me.

"I wonder if he told Tim about his obsession with Sweeney Todd," I laughed. "He's seen that movie dozens of times and I'm pretty sure he's able to recite the entire script by now."

"God, I hope not," Vanessa said, shaking her head. "I have to call my parents to check on the kids, I'll be right back."

"Alright, I'll catch up in a few minutes," I said. "I need to finish up these emails."

"Sounds good," she said before closing the door to my trailer.

Except I couldn't focus on my emails. I kept thinking about Johnny the entire time. I hadn't heard from him since last night when he had sent me a text, telling me he couldn't wait to see me today. I was anxious to see him but I also nervous. I hadn't expected for him to kiss me. It caught me completely off guard. I kept replaying the kissed we shared. They were unlike anything I had ever felt. And that scared me.

Just then I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in," I called out.

"Good morning," I heard a familiar voice. Oh shit. It was Johnny. I turned around to look at him and gave him the biggest smile. My heart began to beat faster.

"Good morning," I finally said. I locked my laptop and decided the emails would have to wait. When I turned around to face him, he was standing right in front of me. I leaned in to give him a hug and said, "I missed you."

"I missed you too," he said, giving me a squeeze. "I'm sorry for interrupting I just couldn't wait to see you."

"You're not interrupting," I laughed, looking right into his eyes. "I had a visitor earlier and I didn't really get much done this morning."

"I met your friend, Lin-Manuel a couple of minutes ago," he smiled. "Great guy. I liked him a lot."

"He's the best," I laughed. What was that smell? My eyes widened as I remembered that I had forgotten to turn off the coffee machine. "Shoot!" I walked over and turned it off. Thankfully I had done so just in time.

I heard footsteps behind me, catching up to me. Johnny's hand clasped around my arm. Quickly he twirled me around to face him. His eyes almost black with obvious lust. "Johnny, what are you—"

My sentence was cut short as Johnny's lips pressed against mine. I didn't even hesitate. I immediately kissed back. This, he, is what I wanted. Johnny slowly moved me backwards and my back connected with the wall. Our kisses were desperate and full of longing. I hadn't realized we needed each other this much until now. I locked my hand around Johnny's neck to steady myself. His hands trailed down to my hips and he gripped there firmly. There was no space in between our bodies, and I didn't mind. All I could think about was Johnny. I ran my fingers through his soft hair and enjoyed the pure bliss of the kiss.

"Jen," Johnny said strained, his voice husky. "Please don't ever leave me."

I was taken back a bit at his words, but I smiled at him. I placed a softer kiss on his lips and rested my hand on his cheek, he snuzzled into my touch.
