And I Love You So

I woke up to the soft sounds of snoring. It was still raining outside. I've always loved the rain. It made me feel at peace and it was when I would get more work done. I thought about getting up and cook some breakfast for Johnny, but a sharp pain surged through my leg. My ankle. I was in pain, so I decided to lay back down. I didn't want Johnny finding out. I reached out towards him; my fingers grazed his bare back.

A smile formed on my face as I laid eyes on the most perfect man in the world. We hadn't slept much all-last night, so I had hoped that I would sleep in a little bit longer. But that wasn't to be. My body was used to waking up early. Every part of me ached after last night, not that I was complaining. A melody filled my mind, and I began to softly hum the lyrics.

And I love you so
The people ask me how
How I've lived till now
I tell them I don't know

I started to whisper as my hand traced his arm. He just looked so perfect lying there next to me.

I guess they understand
How lonely life has been
But life began again
The day you took my hand

He was starting to stir, his dark eyes fluttering open as he looked at me with a smile. "Elvis..one of my favorites."

"I'm sorry if I woke you up," I smiled.

"I couldn't think of a better way to wake up," he said grabbing my hand and kissing it. He then began to kiss my knuckles. "I love you," he said looking up at me.

"I love you, too" I whispered. This felt like a dream. Where had he been all of my life? I couldn't have dreamed of a better love story than ours. I could have spent hours just looking at him and it would be enough for me. But he was mine and I was his.

"Let me go take a shower," I said. "I want to start on breakfast." I sat up and just as I was about to put all my weight into both of my ankles, I winced in pain. I ignored it and tried to walk up with the blanket wrapped around me.

"Does your ankle still hurt?" He called after me.

"No, it's fine," I said turning around to look at him. "I must have stretched and pulled a muscle."

"Please don't lie to me," he said getting up and grabbing the other blanket and wrapped it around his waist. He walked towards me, "sit down."

I sat down on the edge of the bed as he inspected my ankle. "Baby, this is worse than yesterday. It's completely swollen. You may have sprained it."

"It's not that bad," I argued.

He completely ignored me as he went to grab his phone. He dialed a number and he waited for someone to answer.

"Who are you calling?" I asked.

"My doctor," he said with a concerned look on his face.

"No, baby, please don't" I begged.

"Hey doc," he smiled. "I need a favor. My girlfriend had a nasty fall last night and I was wondering if you could make a house call. It looks worse than yesterday."

As soon as he said my girlfriend, I spaced out completely. I was his girlfriend. It was official. I felt my heart beating a little bit faster.

"Baby?" Johnny called out, snapping me out of my daydream.

"Yeah?" I responded looking at him.

"What's your address?" he laughed. "The doctor is on his way here." I gave him my address and heard him end the call. When he walked towards me, I pouted and he laughed. "You think that's gonna make me regret calling the doctor?" he asked as he kissed my lips. "No. I need to see what's wrong with your ankle."

"I swear you're worse than my grandma," I muttered.

"Well, I bet your grandma is a very nice lady who cares about you, so I'm flattered." He smiled.

"I'll go take a shower in the meantime," I said looking at him, pretending to be upset.

"Oh, that's how it's gonna be," he laughed. "My girl acting like a child. That's not gonna work, baby."

"Rude," I responded. I closed the door to the bathroom and heard Johnny laughing in my bedroom.

A couple of minutes later, the doctor arrived, and he inspected my ankle. Surely enough, I had sprained it. Johnny was very attentive. Asking the doctor questions about how I should care for it. And if I was able to work such long hours. I rolled my eyes at him, and he just winked at me. This man was going above and beyond for me. And even though I still thought he was exaggerating; I couldn't help but to fall in love with him even more. He was a prince. A gentleman. My prince.

The following week, I decided to go back on set. I sat down most of the time, to avoid further injury. Something Johnny had insisted on as a condition for me to go back to work. Every time he would break from a scene, he would look towards my direction and smiled at me. He continued to check up on me the entire day.

"You two keep looking at each other as if you were Romeo and Juliet," Tom laughed as he sat down next to me.

"Oh, I hadn't noticed," I said with blushing. "Are we that obvious?"

"Yes," he laughed. "Congratulations, by the way. You two compliment each other beautifully. Truly." That was Tom Hiddleston for you. A complete gentleman. If he hadn't gone into acting, he probably could have written books. He had a way with words that captured your heart and soul.

"Thanks, man," I heard Johnny from behind. He patted Tom on his shoulder and laughed. "I'm the luckiest man in the universe." I smiled back at him. My heart.

"Well, I'm sure you two would fall in love in every universe," he said with a laugh.

"The multi-universe," I laughed.

"She gets me," Tom said looking at Johnny. "I'm gonna back to my trailer." He said excusing himself.

Johnny sat down next to me and leaned towards me to kiss me. I was instantly lost in space. Everything was gone except him and I. It was our moment, and I cherished every moment with him.

"Come on guys, seriously," I heard Paul behind us.

Johnny broke off the kiss with a laugh. "What do you want?" he teased back.

"To not witness you impregnating her," Paul laughed back. "Keep your hands to yourself buddy."

"That's not how kids are made," Johnny shot back.

"Close enough," Javier chimed in walking towards us. "Look I'm really happy for both of you but can you two maybe not make out every chance you get?"

"Oh my God," I whispered to myself. I was so embarrassed.

"Or maybe you two can mind your business," Johnny shot back.

They all laughed and walked away, leaving us alone once more.
"Hey babe," I said nervously. "I actually wanted to ask you something."

"Shoot," he said holding my hand.

"My dad is gonna have a concert here in LA on Saturday," I said tucking my hair behind my ear. "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me. My parents want to meet you. I- I know it's too soon...but I—"

"I'll go," Johnny laughed. "No need for you to get so nervous, baby."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Although the thought of meeting your parents is nothing short of terrifying," he laughed. "I will be there."

"They'll be nice," I said. "Its just...our age difference. They are concerned about that. But...it's gonna be fine. They trust me."

"Let's worry about it that day," he smiled. "Right now, I really want you to kiss me."
