Johnny and I made our way back into the hallway. We were hoping to say goodnight to my parents, my family, and friends. It had been a magical concert, but we needed to head back home. We needed alone time.

"Jennifer!" I heard someone call out.

Johnny and I both stopped walking and turned around. It was Alex. I had completely forgotten that he had been invited to my dad's concert. I knew how Johnny felt about him and truthfully, I wasn't too fond of him either. He was aggressive. And he had been trying to win me over for years. I had let him down plenty of times. He was a known womanizer. And I wasn't in the mood to be yet another woman in any man's list.

"Hey, Alex," I mustered up a smile.

"I was looking for you all night," he smiled. He looked at Johnny and then looked down. Johnny and I were holding hands. Alex looked up again and gave Johnny a look of disgust. I looked up at Johnny who stared back at him. If he was angry, he wasn't showing it.

"I was in the front row with my mom all night," I responded. "And with Johnny."

"I didn't know he spoke Spanish," Alex responded not taking his eyes away from Johnny.

"Well," Johnny smiled. "He understands enough Spanish to appreciate the beauty of her dad's music."

Johnny then looked at me and gave me a sincere smile. I was relieved. I smiled back at him. He knew that Alex was trying to get a reaction from him, and he wasn't in the mood to play. All he wanted was to go home.

"I didn't know you two were so close," Alex responded, looking back at me.

"We are," I answered with annoyance. "He's my boyfriend."

Alex stood there silently. His whole demeanor changed within a second. He was pissed. But I didn't care. He had no business questioning me or anything related to me.

"Now, if you'll excuse us," Johnny smiled. "We need to get going now. It was lovely to see you."

The sarcasm in Johnny's voice was palpable. He knew I was his. And as far as he was concerned, Alex was just noise. An annoying little speck that he couldn't wait to get rid of.

"There they are," I heard my dad call out. We both turned around to face him. My parents walked towards us and gave me a hug. My dad then turned to Johnny, "how did you like the show?"

"It was beautiful," Johnny smiled. "So peaceful and serene. It was a magical night."

"Thank you," my dad smiled. "From one musician to another, it means a lot coming from you."
I knew that smile. My dad only smiled that way when he was truly happy. When he was around those, he loved the most. Seeing him smile like that towards Johnny, only solidified the feeling I had. Johnny was the one. The only one for me.

"Hey," Alex grabbed my arm and turned me around to face him. Johnny and my dad were still having a conversation on the side. "Don't you think your boyfriend is a little too old for you?"

"That's none of your business," I almost spat out. Immediately standing back so that he couldn't touch me.

"Maybe not," he responded. "But he's almost as old as your dad."

"Again, that's none of your fucking business."

"Fine," he smirked. "But when he leaves you for Kate Moss, don't tell me I didn't warn you."

"What are you talking about?"

"You didn't know?" he smiled. "Him and Kate Moss still have a thing. Now, you see, Kate Moss is his type of woman. He has a type. You're not his type."
