Chapter 4

Chocolate or Strawberry

"Saan ba talaga tayo pupunta?" Tanong ko dahil kanina pa kami nag lalakad. Masakit na ang mga paa ko at pagod na ko, nauuhaw at nagugutom na din ako.

"Hindi ko din alam eh" She answer that made me kinda mad. We were walking for hours under the sun and she's going to said that casually. Seriouly? what is he a robot?!

"Chill, I was just kidding." She laughs, and I can't help but stare at her.

She's simply gorgeous. I can see sweat dripping down her neck. I can see her black shirt inside because her uniform isn't closed. Her white skin is showing because of what she's wearing together with her long black shiny hair that was in a messy bun.

"Let's eat first," I say as I clear my throat.

I made my way to one of the street food stands I saw.

"What is that?" she asked, and I furrowed my forehead. She didn't know what kind of food was this?

"This is the food where you find what you call "happiness." I answered, and the vendor chuckled at what I said.

"Really?" She asked in a serious tone while scanning the foods that were on the big pan. I can see hope in her eyes for some unknown reason, but it immediately vanishes.

"Is this dirty?" She asked and then looked at me asking in her eyes. She looks like a child who's curious.

"Ah-no?" I unsurely answer.

I can't say yes because I know she will back out or what. I feel bad because I'm lying to her, but hey, that was a white lie. right? And besides, I've been eating this for almost my entire life.

"Why do you seem unsure of your answer?"

"Stop asking, just eat."

Her eyebrows are raised.

I let out a heavy sigh. Why can't she just eat it? I didn't answer her because I started to eat. I'm really hungry. This food is a life savior. I was busy eating my kwek kwek when, from the corner of my eyes, I saw her. I also order palamig for the both of us, and we eat silently.

"What is your name again?" She asked while we were eating.

"You dragged me and then you're going to ask me that question?" I hissed.

"Excuse me, I did not drag you. You came by yourself, remember?" She recalled

"But still... were doomed after this for sure," mumble the last part.

"Hmm, this is good, huh? "What do you call this one?" she asked as she pointed to the kwek kwek.

"Kwek kwek yan." Sabi ko sabay gilid dahil may mga bumibili din na iba gaya namin.

She kept asking what the different foods were on the pan, and she tasted all of them. After that, we decided to sit on one of the benches.

"Oh no! We should go back! " I histerically exclaimed after I remembered we cut class.

What if they already found out that we're gone? For sure we will receive a punishment. We have to get back as soon as possible. 

Napahinto ako sa pagiisip ko ng bigla kong marinig ang halakhak ni Neyah.

"Boy wag ka masyadong kabahan dyan" Sabi nya sabay halakhak ulit

Hindi ko alam paano nya nagagawang tumawa ng ganyan lalo pa at pwede kaming makakuha ng punishment kapag nalamang nag cut class kami.

"Hindi naman tayo nag cut class, pinalabas tayo ng teacher natin and sinunod lang natin ang sinabi utos nya" She added wearing her playful smile

May point naman sya pero kasi parang ang pelosopo namin sa part na yun.
